the drag is quieter than I thought it would be, which made the first few pulls actually kind of fun. I did order a second one and it arrived without screws, so I couldn’t put it together right away. Customer contact was clunky — chatbot kept looping — but the product itself? Really decent. My tip: check the box before you toss packing. I hope they fix the support flow or at least admit office hours when closed.
Design letdown
Bought three after reading the product page and a colleague's enthusiastic tip. First sight was a trade show booth, so I gave it a shot. Two of the three still work, and barely. The worst is the bayonet fitting with two non-standard O-rings — that single design choice seems to cause most of the leaks. Isolation lever kept snapping and needed replacement. The internal ball valve worked loose; I had to disassemble and realign it. Small seals leak at multiple joints. As an engineer with over 40 years in design and manufacturing, I'm disappointed. I won't buy again. Warned the team I recommended them to. Cutting losses.
Only a few winners here
their hoses and connectors are worth it, most other stuff not so much. Hoses are solid—good build, no drama—and connectors do the job (yes, they’re plastic but they hold up reasonably). The rest felt overpriced for what you get. Sprayers have decent bodies, but the little plastic nozzles fail way too soon; I’ve used sprayers from other brands that last longer. The hose reel looked rustproof on paper but started flaking and rusting within months, and the rewind mechanism wore out after about a year — replacement took ages and a lot of back-and-forth with support. Hand tools? Mediocre for the price. So if you need hoses/connectors, go ahead. If you’re buying accessories, shop around first.
Finally upgraded — mostly glad I did
it’s heavier than I thought, but delivery was quick and I never needed support.
Bracket letdown, reel not
useful in daily use, not fully reliable long term.
Nice idea, warranty hassles
I wouldn't trust their warranty unless you're ready to push back. I first saw the reel at my local Bunnings and even told my neighbor to try one, so I bought it plus a few other Hoselink bits — over $1,000 spent. The reel failed within six months and honestly spent more time broken than working. Support at first told me to buy replacement parts for a months-old unit, which was maddening. I quoted their warranty and Australian consumer law and left a review — then, finally, they replaced it, which was a surprise. Still, getting them to honor it took effort and frankly felt a bit annoying, so I'd think twice before buying again.
