they fixed it fast and I was relieved. I first spotted the tripod at a buddy's shoot and ordered online, but got the wrong box — classic mix-up. I messaged support through the site; within days they shipped the right one, arranged and paid return pickup. Not perfect (tracking muddled), but solid.
Little tripod, big letdown
don't buy this one. I actually loved how solid it felt at first — bought a tiny tripod with a phone clamp because I needed something for quick vlogs and to ease neck/back strain while recording, and liked it so much I got a second, slightly different model for my daughter. Fast forward less than a year and the clamp on mine snapped clean off, and my daughter's ball‑and‑socket is so loose it can't hold the phone anymore. Tried to reach customer service several times, no response, so that was that. It's annoying because the build seemed decent at start, but durability and support failed.
Pretty great bag, annoying small snag
a tiny silver clip that holds the rucksack strap came off and now the strap's useless. Contacted Manfrotto/customer service and got bounced back to the retailer in Abu Dhabi, no spare part available — that part really spoiled an otherwise solid buy, which surprised me.
Tripod works, courier doesn't
I first spotted this on a photography forum and even tipped a coworker to grab one. The tripod itself is fine — does the job, sturdy enough — but the delivery and customer service were a mess. The courier said they’d delivered when they hadn’t, there’s no phone number on the site so getting anyone was slow, and I eventually had to push a message through the chatbot. I bought the same item elsewhere to get it fast and got a refund, then the original arrived anyway and I had to sort a pickup. Annoying and time-consuming.
Too pricey for what it is
not what I hoped, but honestly I’m glad it didn’t ruin my gear. I needed a stand for everyday use — quick vlogs, family videos, a few on-the-go shoots — and at first glance it looked fine. Then the problems showed up: joints are loose, the leg fittings are confusing (I had screws where I expected clamps), and the ball head tends to stick unless you mess with it forever. That said, after a year of regular use it never dropped my camera, which was my biggest worry — so, relief there. It’s clearly built like a cheap $40 stand sold somewhere else, but it costs a lot more. I found myself tightening things more often than I should, and once a leg felt like it was about to pop out (scary, but I caught it). Customer service was okay when I reached out, and delivery was fast, so points for that. Would I buy again at full price? No. Would I use it until something better shows up? Yep — and I’m a little thankful it held up long enough for me to find an alternative.
Solid head, shaky buying
the ball head feels exactly like you'd expect from Manfrotto — weighty, metal, locks down cleanly and the controls are predictable. Mounted my camera, balanced it, and it stayed put; smooth enough for panning without that tiny judder you get on cheaper heads. So on the product side I'm not surprised, it's what I wanted and it works. The weird part was the shop side. Ordered straight from the brand site because I figured quicker and simple — except it wasn't. After paying I got a tracking number and then nothing. No follow-up, no real person to talk to, just an automated reply when I asked where my package was. No phone contact, emails ignored, and I ended up having to dispute the charge with my bank to get the money back. I've had good experiences buying gear from other retailers and even direct from brands before, but this felt bureaucratic and clumsy. Bottom line: the item does its job and feels solid in use, but getting it through the manufacturer's site was needlessly awkward. I'd buy the same product again, just not from that channel.
