I loved it overall — it made the distance feel smaller. I bought a named star as a Valentine's gift for my girlfriend. The package is sweet and I check it almost every night, silly, I know. The app, though, refused to show our star at first and barely registered it, which was annoying. Still, it's a nice little ritual and worth the money, hiccup and all.
Bittersweet Surprise
I needed something different for my sister's 60th—after the usual mugs and flowers I went with the star-naming package. The order was pretty straightforward and the certificate looked lovely. The exact moment I knew it worked was when she opened it, went quiet and then smiled and cried a little, saying “you did this?” Not flawless (a tiny smudge, paperwork a bit fiddly) but heartfelt.
Not terrible, but more hassle than it should be
the idea is cool, the certificate looks nice, but dealing with shipping and the frame was a pain. I ordered this because I needed a display for my mom’s retirement award—wanted something quick for the party—and I paid extra to make sure it arrived on time. Looking back, that’s the part that annoyed me the most. They charged for 1–3 day shipping, I expected it within that window, and it showed up later. Their explanation about business days and German time zones feels like something they should’ve made clearer before checkout. I get time differences, but I didn’t think I had to guess their clock.
When the package arrived, the frame was cracked. To their credit, customer support replied quickly and said they’d ship a replacement free. That was appreciated — really, I was glad they offered to fix it. But the replacement took almost four weeks to get here, which is baffling when you’ve already paid for expedited service on the original order. I never got a refund for that expedited fee, either; I raised it and didn’t get a satisfactory resolution. So, you’re paying for speed and not getting it, and that’s frustrating.
The certificate itself and the presentation look solid — that’s why I didn’t rate everything low. The frame, though, feels cheap; honestly, it’s the kind of flimsy thing you might swap out for a $5 frame from Walmart and be happier. If I had to do it over, I’d still maybe buy the certificate, but I’d plan for shipping delays and buy a better frame locally. Overall I’m mildly grateful it wasn’t a total disaster — the award looked good at the party — but I’m also put off enough that I’ll shop around next time.A tiny star for her memory
a sturdy certificate, a glossy little print of the star map, and an easy QR code everyone figured out right away. Her kids used it to locate the constellation on an app, which made them laugh and get a bit teary. It's simple, feels personal, not flashy — exactly what I needed after losing her.
Small, lasting surprise
I grabbed the box on a rainy morning and didn't expect to be so moved. The certificate and gift box are the standout — heavy card stock, real feeling, and the little star map actually looks like something you'd frame. I use it in my home office above the desk, and it's calming when I glance up. The team helped pick the star and answered my questions fast; that personal touch made it feel less like an order and more like someone helping me make a memory. Surprised how real it all feels.
Wasn't sure, then sold
authenticity card, extras, tidy print, no fuss at all. Pretty happy, honestly.
