I knew this mask wasn’t for me the minute I tried to detangle after rinsing it out. In the shower it felt smooth enough, so I honestly expected a good result. But once I started my usual wash-day routine, my curls felt oddly rough and my brush kept catching, even with leave-in conditioner. I use other Umberto Giannini Curl Jelly products and the Banana Butter line in my everyday routine, and those normally work well for me. So this was a disappointing surprise. I’m glad I found out quickly, but the no-return rule after opening it is frustrating. Next time I’ll probably buy through Target or Amazon instead.
