I can still picture the afternoon I realized everything was back on track — sitting at the table with a cup of tea and that tiny, perfectly cut piece sliding into place. I first got one of these wooden jigsaws as a gift around 1993/94 and was hooked right away. Over the years my collection crept up to a dozen. In the 90s it felt like a secret hobby; you couldn't just buy them in Germany and the web was barely a thing. I actually hunted one down in a souvenir shop in southern England in 2003 and felt like I'd struck gold. Later I found the company site and started ordering now and then. Most orders were straightforward — no fuss with payment or checkout. The one real hiccup was my last order (2024) when a piece turned out to be missing. Annoying, sure, but customer service handled it efficiently. They replied quickly, offered a full replacement or just the missing piece, and I picked the latter. It did take a few weeks, which was the only downside — I was eager to finish the puzzle — but when the parcel arrived I was actually surprised. The single replacement piece came in a small box wrapped in tissue, like someone cared about the little thing as much as I did. Opening that package was oddly satisfying and then fitting the piece in felt like the final click. The color and cut matched perfectly, like it had never been absent. So yeah, mild annoyance with the wait, but the way they resolved it and the neat packaging turned it into a pretty positive experience.
