customer support keeps giving weak excuses (stock allocation, no courier details for the UK, items "with warehouse team") — all different ways of saying they won't send replacements. I've messaged them almost every day for a month; nothing genuine came of it. When one bulb did work it looked fine — color and brightness were okay — so it's not the idea, it's the support. I've had other brands replace faulty items quickly, which made this extra annoying. Bottom line: product can be fine but if something goes wrong you'll spend ages pushing to get help, and that's why I wouldn't buy again.
Strange support, decent bulb
happy the product performs, annoyed at the clunky support lane. If they had one dedicated rep or an actual phone line it would be way smoother. For now I’d buy again for the product, but hope they step up their customer service soon.
Light switch moment
I remember standing in the hallway with a ladder, thinking this was going to be quick — I had just installed 14 Halo 4" recessed WiZ lights across the house (3 in one room, 6 in another, 4 and 1 elsewhere). Install and basic setup were actually painless, everything connected, app worked, bulbs dimmed like they should. I started using them right away and was pleased — simple, quiet, solid. Then I tried to turn on SpaceSense for motion detection and that’s where it got messy. I must’ve tried a hundred setting combos, back-and-forth with support over many emails, same suggestions repeatedly. It was maddening, like banging my head against a settings wall. The turning point came a couple days later when, for no clear reason, SpaceSense finally started detecting motion reliably — one moment of “oh, that’s it,” and I relaxed. Support did not give up (credit where it’s due), but neither they nor I could ever isolate the exact cause. So yeah, not perfect — frustrating stretch — but in the end it works and that settling feeling matters. If you don’t need SpaceSense, these are great lights.
Slightly impressed, still cautious
Signify bought the company a while back and I braced for them to be dumbed-down or folded into something else. Turns out that didn’t happen — the bulbs feel solid, and the whole setup is more flexible now than when I bought the first one. Using them is straightforward; I don’t have to open the app to live my life, which I appreciate. Most of the time they act like regular bulbs that also happen to be smart. When I do use the app it’s usually for small automations — a sunrise schedule for slow mornings, or making a few color scenes for movie night. Lately the app added more tweakable options and that’s literally what was missing before, so I’m glad they kept improving it. I’ve saved scenes to the physical remote and the wall button so guests don’t get lost with the phone. There are hiccups: initial setup can be fiddly if your Wi‑Fi is moody, and sometimes a bulb reboots or needs a re-pair. Not perfect, yeah, but manageable. Price is fair — cheap enough to experiment without feeling silly. I recommended these to a couple coworkers; two of them ordered and came back saying the same thing: "Nice, simple, works." Overall I’m happy it turned out better than I feared, mildly annoyed by occasional quirks, but definitely satisfied enough to keep buying more around the house.
Replacement finally on the way, but it was a slog
ordering was easy, the price felt fair enough, but customer service could be faster and more straightforward, and delivery updates should be clearer. If you’re buying because a friend recommended it, go ahead, but expect to be persistent if something goes wrong. Glad it looks like it will be resolved, even if it took more effort than it should have.
