Bought this for homeschooling after a messy subscription that sent cheap junk — I was hesitant. Turns out the kits and videos are solid, kids actually loved the experiments, and my stress level dropped, honestly.
Half-helpful, oddly repetitive
it helped, but I wanted the rest of the story. I was watching a Generation Genius clip and it kept saying "this is a conductor" or "this is an insulator" like a stuck record, but never actually showed what makes one or the other. You get the labels, not the why — which, seriously, is the good part. Kind of funny, kind of annoying. If I could ask them one thing: please toss in a quick demo or explanation. Still glad I watched it though.
Surprisingly smooth save
I almost passed on this after reading mixed stuff, but a buddy of mine sent me a link from Instagram so I gave it a shot for my kid's birthday. Delivery arrived on time, well packaged, nicer than I expected. The ordering was easy enough. I did hit a snag later with an unexpected charge, but customer service handled it quickly and actually refunded me, which was a relief. They were polite and kept me updated, so I'm genuinely thankful. Not perfect, but solid for me. Would buy again and tell friends, especially for the dependable delivery and helpful support, and fair pricing overall.
When a Saturday turned into science time
the videos hooked them immediately — not cheesy, just clear and funny enough that they asked to do another. The exact moment I knew it was worth it was during a quiet evening: my child picked a worksheet, raced through a quiz and explained the concept back to me without prompting. That little "aha" made me a fan. The mix of video, reading passages, glossaries and games actually builds confidence, and we keep coming back on weekends. It's become part of our routine.
Pink sand surprise
Opened it by accident when my mom checked one of the three boxes for my son's Christmas kit. It's a pink, slightly grainy sand that feels almost like dry sugar; pour a splash of water on it and the drops bead up and run off, leaving the sand basically unchanged. The little experiments work, that's the odd part, but the packaging didn't mention PFAS or any environmental concerns so that sat with me weirdly. I called customer support to return all three kits; they said returns weren't accepted and promised a callback that never came. I told a friend who teaches science and she advised caution. So it does what it claims, but questionable materials and lousy after-sale help. I'm unsure about keeping them.
