I bought their best plan for $1,600 when my parents came over. Next day my dad needed the ER — claim was denied due to a "5-day cooling period." After lots of calls (INF → RobinAssist → INF loop) I finally felt satisfied when operations escalated and agreed to review and cover part of the bill. Not perfect — took too long and communication is messy — but it did help in the end. Good for travel coverage, just be ready to push.
Almost covered but a hassle
I was in urgent care with my grandma (she’d slipped on a sidewalk) and thought, this is exactly why we bought travel health insurance — except it wasn’t smooth. Buying it was easy, but the pre-authorization never reached the clinic. Customer service refused to email it to me even though I used that same account to purchase. After several calls and me pestering them, they finally faxed it and most costs got covered; I had to front some cash. Not perfect, but when the refund hit my account I felt relieved.
