I actually found Outschool from a neighborhood moms group and tried a class because my kid was bored. The teacher was super easy to talk to — like, actual replies, not robot emails — and the lesson kept him glued, which is freakin' rare. I’m already poking around for more classes and told my sister to try it too. Simple setup, good vibes, would try again.
Half-baked platform for teachers
Right in the middle of a session I realized the platform just… takes its cut and moves on. The dashboard feels clunky, payouts are tiny, and your classes barely get promoted. They don’t take plagiarism seriously and support is patchy — not helpful, not supportive. Kinda deflating. If you teach full-time, think twice; wish they promoted creators more.
