Wet toothbrush in hand, staring at the little impression tray and thinking, okay…here we go. The kit itself felt pretty decent — the tray fit snug, the putty had that familiar tacky feel but set firm, instructions were simple enough. I sent in a second impression like they asked because the first wasn’t deep enough, and that’s when things got weird. Communication was spotty; you leave messages and mostly get a box that takes the message but no real person. That made me skeptical, for sure. Anyway, after a few calls (more than I wanted) HFD confirmed my payments were fine and then I got the cancellation email and a refund notice saying 7–10 days. Weird, but the refund actually showed up as promised, so credit where it’s due. In the end I decided to have my dentist fix one tooth instead — less drama. So yeah, the product kit felt good and did what it should, customer service could be better, and the money part ended up handled. Not perfect, but not a total disaster either.
A relief that actually fits
Right after my old fake tooth chipped I remember running a finger over my gums and thinking, okay this has to be fixed — I’d been avoiding photos for months. I ordered Reset Smile because I needed something quick for a missing front tooth and I’d had sketchy, uncomfortable tries before. The first one hid the gap but didn’t sit flush against my gum, still usable though. When it finally broke months later I reached out; warranty had lapsed but they still sent a new kit since I’d mentioned the fit earlier. The second was snug around the gum but felt a bit long when I talked. They made a third and now it actually feels like part of my mouth — not pokey, sits naturally, I forget it’s there most of the time. I’m honestly glad they stuck with me through the tweaks, and it’s been worth it.
Near the finish line, still waiting
Two months into this mess they told me the mold "won't work" — again. I had my doubts before ordering because I read mixed reviews and thought, well, maybe it's worth a shot. Big regret. After sending multiple molds (I lost count) each time I hoped it would be the last, only to be told send another. It drags on for weeks between messages, and that slow back-and-forth is what really got to me. I've dealt with other labs before and they turned things around in days, so this felt unusually chaotic. I will say one customer rep was unexpectedly kind and offered to rush the next kit, which was a small bright spot, even if it didn't solve the delay. I'm trying to stay level-headed but it's hard — wedding is close and the uncertainty is crushing. Honestly, I wished they'd be clearer up front about timelines so I could've chosen differently.
Not the bargain I wanted
the material felt unexpectedly solid and the case was nice. Then I tried it on. Nope. It felt really uncomfortable right away, pushed up against my other teeth and even covered parts it shouldn’t. It also didn’t match the mold they sent. I started using it as soon as it arrived, which took almost four weeks, and the fit was off from day one. Calling them was a chore. I finally reached someone around 2 pm, and they told me to send it back for refitting or a refund — but they'd make me pay shipping. I was trying to save money and avoid the dentist. Spent nearly $800 and ended up returning it. There were small bright spots — the product looked well made — but overall I felt stuck with a clumsy, ill-fitting device and slow, unhelpful support.
