    Digital horses, paper support

    I wouldn’t trust this game with my wallet anymore — I used to, gladly, but not now. I say that up front because I don’t want you to read the whole rant and then be surprised. I’m a longtime player and even made content for this game for years, used it to unwind after work, to check in during lunch, and to hang out with friends on weekend nights. It used to be fun background noise while cooking or doing chores, but lately it feels like pouring money into a black hole that sometimes eats your horses. I’ve probably spent around a grand across a couple accounts over time, and the awful part isn’t the price itself — I can live with pricey cosmetics — it’s the sloppy support and the bugs that eat things permanently. I’ve emailed them a bunch (did the whole organized feedback thing, even put hours into it), and most messages got crickets. When people lose horses or currency from glitches, the response is slow or nonexistent, and that makes you feel ignored, honestly. Friends have had animals vanish, buys go sideways, stuff not credited — and then there’s the hackers and weird inconsistencies in pricing or features depending on when you log in. The in-game economy feels pointless, like they toss things in and out without a plan. I tried to help fix things from a creator’s angle, rallied folks, gave feedback, then just gave up because it wasn’t heard. I still love parts of the game — the social bits, some of the designs — so I’m not throwing shade for fun, just a little heartbroken and frustrated. If you play casually and don’t spend, fine. If you plan to sink real money in, be warned: it can feel sketchy and unstable. I kept telling myself it would get better, but months of polite silence changed that. So yeah, use caution, talk to friends before you drop cash, and don’t assume support will save you if something goes wrong.

    Ghosted but still riding

    emails vanish for ages, their Facebook page is closed, and Instagram answers the easy stuff only. I used to give them a pass — responses in a couple of weeks — but lately it’s been months. That’s annoying. I stuck around because the game itself scratches the itch and isn’t broken, but customer support feels like a black hole. Also, I play another horse game that gives me way more bang for the buck, so my spending dropped. Not perfect, but playable and kind of addictive when everything’s behaving.

    Paywall grind ruins the ride

    one you can earn messing with quests and chores (Jorvik Shillings), which buys some basic stuff like feed and a few clothing items; and another — Star Coins — that unlocks almost everything else, including horses. Problem is, Star Coins basically only come from your credit card or your subscription package. The subscription gives you a token amount (around 100 SC a week) which is barely enough, and buying SC directly is pricey — you’re looking at a small pack costing a few dollars that doesn’t stretch far. Horses run 850–1000 SC depending on the model, so getting anything decent without spending feels unrealistic. Visually the new gen 3 horses and their movements are better, I’ll give them that, but that doesn’t erase the paywall design. It ends up feeling like you can’t really “play” unless you accept microtransactions. My wish: if someone pays for a subscription, let them at least earn a few SC through quests or events, or increase the weekly stipend. That would make the balance feel less exploitative. I want to like it — the atmosphere is decent and the stable customization is fun — but the monetization makes it a toss-up for long-term play. If you’re okay paying regularly, fine. If not, prepare to hit a wall.

    A pleasant surprise after a rough week

    I was halfway through a nap when the delivery text popped up and, weirdly, that little notification felt like a relief. I’d been off my feet for a few weeks after a bad back flare-up, and picking this up — mostly as a distraction and something gentle to do — turned out to be one of those small good decisions. I’d been burned before with slow shipments and useless support, so I braced for the worst. Instead the package showed up earlier than the window said, box intact, no dents, and that already set the tone. Downloading the app and getting my account sorted was easier than I expected too. There was a hiccup with an in-game purchase at first, but customer service answered faster than I thought they would and walked me through it without making me feel like an idiot. They were patient, friendly, and actually helpful, which honestly made me smile more than I thought it would. The game itself isn’t perfect — some updates feel odd and some features don’t land like they used to — but for what I needed (a low-stress, familiar space while I recovered) it did the job. The community feels different than when I played years ago, sure, and sometimes the new content leans one way more than I’d like, but overall the experience leaned towards comforting. I appreciated getting regular updates about my order and the quick replies from support. Price-wise I hesitated; it’s not the cheapest, and I do notice I’m paying more than before, so that’s a downside. Still, the combination of fast delivery and solid service made it feel worth it — especially while I was couch-bound and needed something reliable. I’m grateful it wasn’t a struggle to get going; that counts for a lot when you’re dealing with pain and limited patience. Would I recommend? For someone who needs a low-key return to a familiar hobby, yeah, give it a shot. It’s not flawless, but the delivery and people behind the support lifted the whole thing for me.

    I just bought a subscription for my daughter, and then she wanted to switch to a better one. I canceled the first one but didn't get the perks I was promised. The customer service was no help at all. It's not cool that I got penalized for trying to upgrade. It's just not a good way to treat customers.

    Online horse game experience

    My time playing this online horse game has been a letdown, to be honest. The gameplay just feels like it's stuck in the same old routine, with nothing new or exciting to keep me interested. It seems like all they care about is squeezing money out of us players, which takes away from the fun. The updates are pretty lackluster and it feels like they're just reusing old stuff. The only good part is being able to chat with other players in my club, it helps me feel connected. But the new character designs are kind of meh, they don't have the same charm as before and it's hard to stay into the game because of it.

    Horse Tack Bundle

    I got my mom a horse tack bundle because she really likes playing this game, even though I think it's more for girls. Ordering it was easy, but then she said there were a lot of problems with the game - like bugs that they never bother fixing. It's so frustrating! Plus, there are these annoying wolves that attack the horses, like, why would they put that in there? It's just not cool.

    Unwanted multiple transactions

    I'm really upset with the customer service I received from Star Stable. Someone made unauthorized transactions on my account, so I contacted them for help. I showed them proof of the transactions and clearly stated that I didn't authorize them. But, despite all my attempts, I still haven't gotten any help in fixing the problem and getting my money back.

    Account Lockout Issue

    I had a really frustrating situation with my daughter's account - she got locked out because of a technical error on the company's side. We tried to get help from customer service, but haven't heard back at all. It's really disappointing because my daughter put her own money into buying star coins. I'm super unhappy with the service we've gotten and I'd tell others to think twice before signing up with this company.

    My favorite game

    My 11-year-old self just can't get enough of this game! I splurged on the monthly membership and now I've got a bunch of awesome horses. I love roaming around all the cool places, taking on challenges, and just having a great time. Star Stable seriously rocks, it's the best game ever!

    Long-term player experience

    I've been playing this game for a good couple of years now and I really enjoy it. The updates come often and they keep the game fun and exciting. Even though it’s a bit pricey, you definitely get your money's worth. It makes sense that the company needs to make a profit, and the weekly updates make sure we keep coming back for more. Another great thing is being able to interact with other players, which adds to the fun. As for worries about older folks reaching out to kids, just teach them about online safety and privacy. All in all, this game does a great job of keeping things fresh and entertaining.

    Non-star rider experience

    I'm not a star rider on this platform, and sometimes I feel like I'm not getting the same attention or appreciation as those who are. I really enjoy western content, so it's a bummer that there isn't more of that available. It would be nice to have more diverse options to choose from. Also, the 100 sc per week limit feels pretty restrictive to me. It doesn't really motivate me to keep putting money into the game, even though I spend a lot of time playing and upgrading my stable. I wish there was more recognition for the loyalty I show to the game.

    Lifetime Star Rider purchase

    This game is a blessing for someone like me who deals with anxiety and can't handle the stress of violent games. I was on the lookout for a game that would help me unwind, hang out with animals, and make friends, and Star Stable totally hit the mark. Taking care of and bonding with horses is super soothing, and I enjoy exploring the amazing world the game has to offer. The storylines are interesting, and the community is full of helpful and friendly players. I can play for hours and feel totally relaxed, which is rare for me when it comes to gaming.     Virtual stable management game

    I've been playing this virtual stable management game for a while now, and I gotta say, I have some mixed feelings about it. The graphics have really gotten better over time, making it look super cool for us players. But, I can't help feeling a bit let down by the company's customer service. I've been a loyal customer for like ten years, but the support team can be pretty unhelpful and seem more interested in making money.     Nostalgic gameplay with disappointing updates

    I've been playing this game for years now, and I have to say, it's really gone downhill. What used to be a nostalgic and enjoyable experience has turned into a mess of faulty updates and an abundance of new horses without any substantial quests to go along with them. It's sad to see how the game is destroying itself, especially as more and more veteran players leave, those who have probably contributed the most money to the game. The clubs are shrinking, the community is weakening, and unless some major changes are made, I don't see it getting any better. It's a shame to see a game with so much potential go to waste like this.

    I've had a frustrating experience with the game subscription and in-game purchases. The game pushes you to buy things constantly, which can be stressful for both parents and players. It's very annoying how hard it is to cancel the subscription once they have your credit card details. My kid tried a trial but kept getting charged for a year even though she no longer played the game. We had to call our credit card company to stop the charges because of this shady behavior.

    I'm so annoyed that the company stopped giving out in-game currency rewards for holidays and anniversaries. It just feels like a betrayal to players who have been loyal for so long. And it's even worse knowing that the company isn't even struggling financially - they're just being cheap. The whole A/B testing thing is just rubbing salt in the wound. It's sad to see a game that was such a big part of my teenage years go downhill like this.

    The online game takes forever to load on Wednesdays, which really annoys players. And there's also a problem with the release dates for Android and iOS, making Android users mad. It would be better if they had fewer updates, maybe just one a month instead of every week, so it doesn't use up so much computer space. This is especially important for people who only have Star Stable on their computer and are running out of storage. It's super important that the game works for everyone on Android and iOS so all friends can play together.
