banners, pop-ups, “generate with AI” nags, and even subscription credits for image generation I never asked for. As someone who edits photos of real artwork, the constant push to replace careful manual adjustments with instant AI feels off. Most of the people I knew on the site were photographers, illustrators, artists — we wanted precise tools, not automated shortcuts.
When the toolbar became a sales pitch
it just did what I needed. The white/black balance control stood out; not a flashy feature, just practical, and it saved me time after shows or shoots. I kept paying because it worked and didn’t get in the way.
Then one day I opened a file to make a small tonal tweak and got hit with AI banners, popups, and suggestions to generate images. Every label on the site suddenly screamed AI. It wasn’t helpful — it was intrusive. The moment I closed the popup, went back to my histogram and real sliders, and realized the old workflow was gone, that was the exact moment I felt satisfied — satisfied that I’d stop using the paid plan and find something that behaved the way I needed. I tried a free alternative that had the same exposure and black/white balancing; no fluff, just the controls I wanted. Not dramatic, just pragmatic relief. I’m not furious, just a bit annoyed and relieved at the same time. If you make art and want precise, predictable tools, be aware the app has shifted its focus. For me, the decision to switch felt right the second I reproduced my usual edit without the AI interruption — plain, simple satisfaction.Weirdly helpful stand
Needed for my back, really sturdy
Surprisingly solid support
Hesitated then loved
Meh but works
Delivery fine, service meh.
Not worth the hassle
Avoid it — ruined my move.
Skeptical, then okay
Was nervous; used today — pleasantly surprised, really.
Glitches but useful
Weird app, image copy-paste broken but otherwise decent; glad basic edits work, FYI though
Kinda missed the mark
Ignored my steps. Still kinda useful, though.
Friend's phone find
Spotted it on a friend's phone, expected junk—app kept crashing, ordering was slow, but product arrived fine and I'm actually glad it worked out.
Finally something that helped
Needed it for chronic back pain after a bad app switch. I knew I was satisfied when it synced my settings and helped, no fuss.
Small relief
Exported a clean image for my blog (no fuss) — quietly satisfied, used it daily.
Logged on, doubted it
Saw it on a friend's Insta, was ready to hate it. App glitches at first, but delivery was on time and support helped.
Mid-sip fix
Mid-sip of my coffee, it actually fixed a messy photo — clunky at first, but now it’s part of my daily editing, honestly glad
Nice find, billing hiccup
Overall I’m happy with it, though billing caught me off guard. I started using it last month and first impressions were great — easy setup, looked promising — then surprise charge, ugh.
Surprise renewal charge
I was scrolling and saw a charge — no heads-up. Asked to cancel and refund; got a flat no. Feels like being nickeled and dimed, like with other companies, ugh
Found the font groove
try bold sizes, they actually behave.
Pleasant surprise
Didn’t expect instant access, but it showed up right away - and customer support actually helped me add my local fonts, no hassle. Really happy it worked; I'd tell others to try it.
Saving drama
Had to edit photos for a last-minute moving listing — my shoulder’s shot so I couldn’t redo things — spent hours repainting and then Pixlr just ate my file. The save feature felt like a black hole, and support took ages to reply. I’m frustrated but still hoping they fix it soon, or I’ll switch sites — no kidding.
Ready to quit Pixlr
I'm ready to stop using Pixlr if they don't fix the saving. I spent hours repainting a photo and then lost it when the editor choked — memory hog. It’s fine for quick edits and I've used worse, but this keeps being annoying and unreliable.
