Overall I’m happy with it, though billing caught me off guard. I started using it last month and first impressions were great — easy setup, looked promising — then surprise charge, ugh.
Surprise renewal charge
I was scrolling and saw a charge — no heads-up. Asked to cancel and refund; got a flat no. Feels like being nickeled and dimed, like with other companies, ugh
Found the font groove
try bold sizes, they actually behave.
Pleasant surprise
Didn’t expect instant access, but it showed up right away - and customer support actually helped me add my local fonts, no hassle. Really happy it worked; I'd tell others to try it.
Saving drama
Had to edit photos for a last-minute moving listing — my shoulder’s shot so I couldn’t redo things — spent hours repainting and then Pixlr just ate my file. The save feature felt like a black hole, and support took ages to reply. I’m frustrated but still hoping they fix it soon, or I’ll switch sites — no kidding.
Ready to quit Pixlr
I'm ready to stop using Pixlr if they don't fix the saving. I spent hours repainting a photo and then lost it when the editor choked — memory hog. It’s fine for quick edits and I've used worse, but this keeps being annoying and unreliable.
Old tools, new tricks
I cracked it open this morning after not using it for a couple years and felt weirdly nostalgic. Back then it felt like a mini-Photoshop — sliders, layers, real control. Now it leans into AI and the hands-on tools are sparse, but hey, it still gets quick edits done.
Where did the old Pixlr go
I hesitated to keep using Pixlr — worried all the good editing tools were gone. I tried it anyway, and well, some AI stuff actually helps (oddly useful), but the old manual features are mostly gone unless you pay. Kind of a bummer; wish they’d bring those back.
Low-key relieved
I started using it a few weeks ago for freelance projects. I was hesitant before buying because of the horror stories about lost files. First day felt risky; setup was quick though. A couple of files didn't save at first, which annoyed me. After an update it settled down. Not flawless, but my doubts mostly went away.
Laptop got hot, support helped
Was in the middle of a move and needed a quick editor — my back was killing me and I didn't want a heavy program. At first this app made my laptop overheat, fans roaring and everything dragging (only one browser tab open). I reached out to support, they actually replied and suggested tweaks, and an update arrived quickly. Still a tad slow but overall relieved.
Mixed results — not great at first
mixed feelings. I lost several files because the paid app kept saving them wrong, which sucked, but support actually helped recover some work and gave a partial refund. Still cautious — other tools handled this better — yet after the back-and-forth I’m less annoyed and might try them again.
Fan finally calmed down
I was about ready to ditch this editor—after seven years I knew its quirks, but this latest build was making my laptop sound like a jet. Support actually replied, walked me through a fix and an update, and that moment when the fan calmed down? Pure relief. Still a bit wary — seen worse from other apps — but now it feels usable again, so yeah, happy for now.
Almost my go-to, but buggy now
There was a time I could open it and bang out edits in five minutes. I needed it to edit photos for my apartment listing while moving. Lately though it's glitchy; layers freeze, tools stop responding and I end up reloading. The autosave saved me more than once, which is the one thing I still like, but it's inconsistent. I miss the old smoothness, but right now I can't fully trust it for last-minute edits.
Laid-back signup, annoying renewal
no refund, use the month you paid for. Delivery of the account was instant, support was frustrating and slow.
Used to be solid
I had doubts before I bought Pro — would it still be the reliable editor? I was hesitant — used it daily for quick photo edits and light retouching. Those doubts haven't gone away. Lately it's glitchy, tabs freeze, tools stop responding and I reload the page mid-project. Most times it recovers and saves, sometimes not. It's disappointing; I keep hoping it improves but right now I can't trust it with important jobs for my freelance work.
Free trial bit me, but it actually works
I clicked the free trial because a coworker showed it to me during lunch and I tipped my sister. No reminder came and the card got charged when the trial auto-renewed — annoying. I cancelled right away and emailed support, said I couldn't use it for my needs (can't add a watermark, that was the point). Support refused a refund and told me to use the month I paid for. Reluctantly I did, and it's actually decent — files export fine, UI's okay — still wish they'd be clearer about charging.
Immediate cancel — heads up
cancel right after you sign up — seriously. I picked the yearly plan because I needed something to help with chronic back pain and sleep (moving, stretching, the usual), and it did help for a while. Problem is, I knew I’d stop using it after a few months and sure enough they auto-renewed a year later with zero reminder and no refunds. Feels like a quiet money move. So use it if it helps, but set a reminder and cancel immediately when you join. Annoying, but lesson learned.
Slightly skeptical, turned into a decent find
not perfect, but handy for quick edits; try the free trial first, seriously.
Good tool, shady renewal
the app helped with my lower back rehab and the videos are solid, but the billing is sketchy. It's an annual plan that silently auto-renews. No reminder. No refunds. They count on people forgetting. I actually needed this during a move and for some lingering back pain, so it was useful for a few months. But don't assume they'll tell you your renewal is coming. It works, and it's not perfect — clunky UI sometimes, and support was slow — so just set a reminder and cancel.
Midnight sign-up, decent support
I messaged about a weird credit glitch and they actually resolved it and credited my account (12,000 credits showed up). Delivery of that fix was quick, replies were clear, so I went from doubtful to satisfied — still room to improve the AI, but service was solid.
