A solid helper for getting away, with a couple hiccups

emails were answered quickly, and my contact (Alina) actually sounded human and practical, not scripted. She helped me add three extra days and a Pompei trip without fuss, which I appreciated since I’d arranged things between conference calls and soccer practice. Delivery of the services was good overall — transfers, hotels, breakfasts were straightforward — though one shuttle ran late and we had to wait longer than expected at a station (annoying, but not ruinous). Hotels were well placed, maybe not boutique-perfect every time, but clean and convenient. Pricing felt fair for the convenience; not the cheapest you’ll find but the time saved mattered to me. Mild gripe: a bit more clarity on meeting points would’ve made arrival smoother. Still, I’ll use them again when life’s busy and I want a vacation that mostly runs itself.

    Booked three times, cautiously satisfied

Greece first, then Tunisia, and most recently Bali. First trip I braced for chaos but pickups arrived on time and the local rep answered when I needed them. The itineraries are tidy, even for the flexible packages that handle transfers. Prices seem fair, and my doubts mostly faded, though I still double-check confirmations.

Not what we paid for—mixed results

    skeptical.
Some good bits: a couple of tour activities were actually well run, the hotels were decent, and the two days with an English-speaking guide were pleasant and professional. Those guides knew their stuff and gave helpful context — that’s why I didn’t completely hate the trip. There were moments when I relaxed and thought maybe it would turn around.
But the negatives piled up. Flights were routed through JFK both ways, which added unnecessary overnight travel and left us exhausted. Even worse, we weren’t allowed to select seats in advance, so we weren’t seated together unless we paid extra at the airport. That’s just bad planning for a “premium” package. We ran into other travelers on similar itineraries who had a dedicated guide the whole time, which made the contrast hard to ignore.
Price was another sore point. The package was advertised around $3,000 per person, but after upsells and add-ons it ballooned to over $5,400 each. For that money I expected consistent guidance, better flight options, and zero surprises. Instead we got budget-style flights and a largely unguided experience for most days.
We reached out to customer service after getting home. Short version: scripted responses, little accountability, and a final line that everything matched the “package inclusions.” That didn’t feel like real engagement, and it left a bad taste. On the flip side, the reps were polite, if robotic — not dismissive, just not helpful.
Bottom line: I came in skeptical and some parts did win me over — a couple of guides and activities were actually good — but overall the mismatch between price and delivery is real. If they tightened up flight logistics, guaranteed guide days, and stopped nickel-and-diming seats, this could be a solid operator. As it stands, I’m unlikely to book Wingbuddy again unless they show real changes.

    Rough phone support

if you call, be clear and persistent, or ask for a supervisor. Still hoping November will be great.

That moment I knew they had our backs

30 a.m., which left me thinking, great, this is already going sideways. But the driver was there and got us to the hotel without a fuss, which was a relief. Still, I only started to relax mid-tour, on day six, when my friend took a nasty fall (totally not the company’s fault). That’s the moment I really saw how they operate. Oscar didn’t disappear or delegate and that’s rare. He literally stayed with us, calm and practical, until the ambulance came and then kept checking in afterwards. That’s what made me shift from “hopeful” to “actually satisfied.”
The local Wingbuddy team was also solid — they rearranged hotels, handled bookings, paid for the San Jose room so we weren’t left sorting it all out ourselves. They texted almost daily to see how we were doing, which was reassuring; not fake, but genuinely helpful. Big shout to Alex, the driver — those roads were rough and he drove carefully and with a steady sense of humor. Communication was quick via email and WhatsApp, which I appreciated, although a bit more proactive itinerary info at the start would’ve helped set expectations. Price felt fair for what we got, not cheap but not outrageous either.
Overall, mild skepticism turned into genuine gratitude. If you’re picky about guides, ask for Oscar — he’s knowledgeable and low-key funny, and when things went wrong he made them feel like they were actually being handled. I’d book with them again, mostly because of how they reacted when it mattered.
