    Mixed bag booking

    So, I saw the tour on TourRadar and even told my sister about it, but the whole booking felt messy. I paid in full, bought plane tickets from Mexico, got a confirmation — then days later Go as Local emails saying the trip needs at least three people. How was I supposed to know that? Customer service only reached out after the fact and sounded like they were sorry but could cancel if they don’t fill the slot. Delivery of the promised trip felt unreliable, communication was slow and reactive. On the bright side the price seemed fair and the itinerary looked solid, and I still want to go, just wish they’d handle confirmations and info up front. Mildly disappointed, but not totally written off.

    Left Hanging Between Arenal & Monteverde

    I remember standing in my hotel room, suitcase half-packed, kind of looking forward to a relaxed transfer day — jeep ride, a bit of horseback, the brochure literally showed it — so yeah, that’s what we expected. Turns out those activities were just... pictures on paper. We didn’t get the jeep or the ride, and getting an answer from Green World took forever. At first they said they were “looking into solutions,” which sounded okay, but then they closed for the weekend and the only follow-up was a brief apology that it was a human error and they understood why we’d think it was included. That was Friday close of business. We tried multiple times after that and didn’t hear back until Monday — and that was after we’d already left Monteverde. How you handle bumps says a lot about a company, and this approach felt sloppy, honestly.
    Beyond that, the trip felt like a mismatch between price and what we actually got. Our transport “guides” were supposed to be bilingual but struggled with English, which was awkward when we were trying to ask questions or get recommendations. Two hotels had no hot water — yep, cold showers — one had no AC, and another felt like it needed a serious bug check. For the cost we paid I expected more comfort, not a 2-star feel at near 4-star prices. On the bright side, when we booked other excursions ourselves they were fantastic, so Costa Rica itself delivered. I’m glad we made the most of it, but I wouldn’t trust Green World for a package like that again — messy communication and overpromised inclusions left a sour taste.

    Midnight transfer mess

    the islands look great, the activities were okay when they happened. But using this tour felt like constantly patching holes. Pickup times for daily stuff arrived late, usually the night before, which meant you’re packing and rewinding your whole plan at the last minute. Messages and emails? Often slow or ignored, and that uncertainty wears on you after a few days. The real problem was the canceled flight out of Puerto Princesa. Instead of a clear, helpful fix, we were nudged into an eight-hour van ride at our own cost or an overnight stay also on us. We couldn’t do the overnight because we had an international flight the next morning, so we took the van. That ride left us exhausted and basically useless for the few hours we had in Manila before heading to the airport. There was also no in-person guide — we tried to find one, later learned there wasn’t one provided, and that made the “guided” label feel misleading. After we got home I filed a complaint and asked for the transport costs back; their response was flat and they refused. I’m not saying everything failed — the sites were fine, and local operators sometimes did their best — but the coordination and accountability weren’t there. If you book, double-check confirmations, consider backup transport plans, and buy solid travel insurance. I wish they handled cancellations differently; then this could have been a smooth trip with one or two hiccups instead of constant scrambling.

    Not what I expected

    it technically got done, but not in a way I'd call a guided tour. A friend tipped me to use TourRadar, said it was an easy way to book everything, so I signed up for a Philippines trip through their site. From the start it felt like I was assembling pieces myself. Communication was sparse. Pickup times for daily activities showed up late, often the night before. Emails and messages were ignored or answered hours later. That led to stress and a bunch of last-minute scrambling. The serious problem was a canceled domestic flight. Instead of a clear fix, the only workable option forced us into an eight-hour van ride at our own cost. They also suggested overnighting and flying the next day, again at our expense, which wasn’t possible because we had an international flight already booked. We reached Manila at 2 a.m., then had to be back at the airport at 6 a.m. Not great. Also, no in-person guide ever showed up. We tried to find one, called and messaged, and later learned there simply wasn’t one assigned. So the “guided” label felt misleading. After returning, we filed a complaint and asked to be reimbursed for the transport costs caused by the canceled flight. Their reply was brief and they refused any refund. There were parts that worked — hotels and some activities happened as listed — but overall it was disorganized and felt like you were on your own. I can see how some people might be fine with that, but I expected more support.

    Customized payment arrangement

    The folks at this company were really great! They really went out of their way to help me set up a payment plan that worked for my tour. Even though it took a lot of back and forth, they were always quick to respond, super friendly, and really good at keeping me in the loop. It took a bunch of messages, phone calls, and working with the tour provider, but they were always there to lend a hand. I really value how much they cared and how far they were willing to go to make things easy for me. My only suggestion would be to make the local phone number easier to find for smoother communication.

    Confusing communication

    I gotta say, trying to get answers from this company was a real struggle. The first response I got totally ignored my questions, and it was so aggravating. Then, instead of actually helping me out and fixing things, I just kept getting passed around between them and the cruise company.     Easy booking process

    I booked a tour through a travel agent not too long ago and then came across it on this website. I thought it sounded really cool and the price was right, so I booked it again. But, I was kind of bummed out that the company didn't keep in touch very well. While it was easy to book, I didn't get any info or updates about my tour until the day before. It would have been nice to hear from them more during the booking process.

    My booking experience was pretty bad. It took forever to get answers to my questions, and to top it off, the price changed after I booked. They said there weren't enough spots left, even though the ad said there were over 10 spots. The excuse they gave was not very impressive.
