the wallbox showed up a day early, which felt like a small win. So I was already in a good mood when I opened the Daolar F098 — app installed, ready to try the touted “adjust current remotely” feature. Short version: yes, the unit charges fine (phew), but the app’s so-called live current switching is misleading. You can change the amperage in the app, but it won’t actually take effect until you unplug and plug the cable back in. That kinda kills the whole “adjust while charging” idea. I used to have a different charger from another brand that really did switch on the fly, so I guess I had expectations. Seller support wasn’t exactly helpful — conversations felt curt, sometimes a little dismissive, and when I left feedback they removed it from their shop (which, come on). Returns are a hassle too; their policy is strict, so getting a refund or exchange looked like a headache. On the plus side: delivery was quick and the packaging was solid, no dents or surprises. Also, credit where it’s due — the device does what a basic charger should do, and I’m relieved it wasn’t DOA. I’m glad it arrived intact and works for regular charging, but if you’re buying for the advertised smart, seamless current control without interruptions, temper your expectations. Customer service could be friendlier, and the listing should be clearer.
Disappointing charger
skip it. I bought a Daolaer outdoor charger about a year ago and now it just died. It was advertised as IP65 but there was moisture inside even though it's under a little shelter. Customer service refused to honor the warranty. I've had better luck buying similar stuff from AliExpress sellers who were cheaper and actually helpful, so yeah I'm disappointed I trusted this site. At least it didn't fry anything, so I'm somewhat relieved.
