low fees, no surprises, exchange felt fair. I also started using their investment jars in the UK and that made it simple to park spare cash without pretending I’m an investor. It’s not perfect — the app can be a bit clunky sometimes and support isn’t instant — but for international transfers and spending abroad it reliably does the job, and fees are still competitive. I’ve told friends about it and keep using it out of convenience and trust.
Too risky for payouts
I liked them when things worked, but I wouldn't rely on them if you need money quickly. Day-to-day transfers are smooth and the fees are decent — I'm actually glad for that when it goes right — but when a tiny issue shows up they can freeze your funds for days, even over a week, with vague "that's how it works" answers. Other fintechs I've used usually sort stuff out in hours, so this felt old-school and annoying. Support gave scripted replies and I ended up repeating myself. So yeah, mixed feelings: good for routine cheap transfers, not for anything time-sensitive. Not ideal overall, but usable if you accept the risk.
Duplicate-me drama, sorted
they fixed it, everything works, I use it daily for bills and coffee runs. Not perfect, but reliable.
Frozen balance, workable outcome
invoices queue up, I open tabs, call people, try to reschedule, and the clock keeps running. Customer support was the most frustrating part — largely templated replies at first, which didn't fit the specifics, so I kept pressing and kept the chat logs. After several contacts they escalated and cleared most of the funds within a few days. I'm relieved — it could have been worse, and that relief matters when payroll is involved. Still, the experience felt impersonal and unnecessarily slow. Bottom line: the service works well day-to-day and I’m glad this resolved, but expect to invest time and follow-up if something blocks your account. I'll keep using it for routine transfers, but I’ll maintain backups and verify large payments ahead of time.
