I would not order from them again. The blind itself was close to what I needed, but one arrived labeled with a size that did not match the size on my confirmation. My neighbor had mentioned the company, so I expected a pretty straightforward fix. I sent photos and the order details, yet the conversation kept circling back instead of getting resolved. They offered to remake the blind, but wanted $25 for it, which felt odd since I had ordered the stated measurement. After a while I stopped pursuing it. I am glad the other blind works, at least, but this took more time than it should have. There are easier places to buy from.
Canceled Instead of Help
The moment I realized this order probably wasn’t going to get sorted out was when I received an email saying the whole thing had been canceled. I’d already waited several weeks for the blinds, then found out one of the sizes wasn’t available. Annoying, sure, but I was willing to choose another option and move on. What made it frustrating was trying to reach customer service. I called four times and asked for callbacks, but none came. Eventually I spoke with Fred. He was polite enough, I guess, but kept saying he understood while also saying he wasn’t allowed to actually resolve anything. He asked me to email, even though they said they’d sent messages I never saw, then suggested texting instead. I texted exactly what I needed and got a cancellation email back. That was a surprise, and not a good one. I’ve requested documentation of the cancellation and still haven’t received it. I’d recommend getting every change confirmed in writing before waiting around.
Wrong roll, decent redo
fabric wound the right way, fit was cleaner, blackout worked better, and the overall finish actually felt like an upgrade over the originals. Not perfect process, production clearly missed the spec the first time, but the remade items solved it. I'm satisfied now — a little skeptical at first, then genuinely relieved when the replacements matched what I ordered. My hope is they adjust product options or training so someone else doesn't waste time on the same mix-up. Overall it's fine now, but that back-and-forth cost me time and patience.
Good blinds, lousy delivery treasure hunt
I ordered custom blinds in Feb 2024 and at first I liked what I saw — ordering was straightforward and the lifetime warranty sounded reassuring. My initial thought was “these look legit,” though I never actually opened a package because, surprise, delivery went sideways. FedEx marked them delivered on Feb 28 and uploaded a photo, but the pic is useless — just a blurry porch angle, like someone took a snap and walked off. FedEx told me to contact Affordable Blinds; Affordable asked for a reroute fee (which I paid), and then said FedEx couldn't reroute or locate the shipment. That left me annoyed and a bit skeptical — why accept the courier’s word and not push harder? So right now no blinds in hand and it's been a hassle. On the plus side, everything points to the product being solid and Affordable at least offered options and that lifetime warranty, so I'm cautiously hopeful they'll actually fix this.
Solid blinds, minor quirks
Feels sturdy and looks good, but one corner frayed—still beats other brands' cheap feel.

If you’re confident with tools and patient, you can make it work, but if you want something plug-and-play, steer clear or at least ask for clearer instructions and pre-drilled holes before buying.
That tracking hole-in-the-day

The item came from San Diego to the Bay Area, which made the radio silence feel extra strange. Eventually the roller shade arrived and it works okay, no visible damage, so that's good. Still, the back-and-forth and vague timelines were annoying — not a disaster, but definitely not smooth or very transparent.

Blackout roller shades
I can't even handle how much I love my new blackout roller shades! They really do block out almost all of the sun, just like they promised. When they're completely down, my room is pitch black, it's awesome. I would definitely suggest these to anyone who wants some really great shades.
