I'm actually impressed — Hipa turned out to be a legit find for my little retirement shop. I needed reliable carbs and parts because I fix chainsaws and trimmers for fun (and because my back complains if I buy junk). I was skeptical at first. Shipping and aftermarket parts have burned me before. But the carburetors came pre-tuned and they worked right away on my Poulan and Stihl saws. Gaskets and fuel lines looked solid too. Sherry was the real help; she walked me through which carb fit my Stihl FS45 and explained the differences from the other trimmer carbs. It saved me trial and error, which I appreciate because I hate guessing. Prices are fair and international shipping actually arrived in reasonable time, though some items were out of stock and the US site had more inventory than the international one — annoying but not a dealbreaker. So yeah, mild skepticism turned into satisfaction. Would like a wider selection, but for now this is my go-to for parts.
Three pulls, no drama
They fired up on the first tries, which shocked me. I was pretty skeptical — had two Stihl saws (an MS250 and an 023) and tried a bunch of carbs that never ran right. Saw a US video where someone swore by Hipa parts, so I ordered two. Pulled each about three times and both started and ran smooth. I needed them after lots of frustrating false starts, so yeah, pleasantly surprised.
Not bad after a TikTok pitch
Overall, I'm glad I tried them — skeptical at first after seeing a TikTok outreach, but it turned out solid. They sent replacement trimmer line and a fuel pump, the line was tightly wound and pretty stiff. Packaging kept everything safe. I even told a buddy at work to try it and he liked it too.
Just what my bike needed
I remember the first crank — kinda nervous, honestly. I put that replacement carb on my little project bike I wrench on between shoots and grocery runs, not sure if it’d be right. The unit showed up neatly boxed, with gaskets and a short fuel hose tucked inside, and it slid on without drama.
