I hesitated before ordering — the photos looked okay but the size chart was unclear, and I’d had a messy return with another shop last year so I was skeptical. I went ahead because they list a local warehouse and I thought returns would be simple. The item arrived and seems well made, but it’s way too big so I can’t use it. I followed their return process, offered to drop it off locally, emailed weekly and called a couple times. After six weeks it’s still not sorted and I’m still waiting on a refund. Frustrating.
Bought as backup, turned into a headache
I bought this as a last-minute backup for a holiday party and I was already worried. Photos didn't match my gut, and I'd had bad experiences with returns before, so I checked the policy. Big mistake. First they couldn't even tell me where to mail the return — that took forever. I finally sent it back three weeks ago and still no refund. I called once and got a runaround. The wig itself is okay, sits fine but nothing special. Customer service was slow and vague. Frustrating, not a total disaster. If you need a smooth return, look elsewhere.
Off on the length, okay on the rest
the hair itself works well enough, but the way the company handled the mistake was disappointing. Be careful ordering if clear measurements matter to you.
Not what I ordered, annoying return
I first found them on Instagram late-night scroll and, yeah, I told a friend about the sale so I went ahead and ordered a wig mid-December. The wig that arrived wasn't the one I ordered — wrong style, not what I expected. I contacted Allove Hair, they apologized but shrugged off responsibility; they said I could return it for a refund or exchange but I had to pay postage even though it was their mistake. They now have the item and are refusing refund or exchange and are ignoring my messages. I also used Klarna to avoid putting my card, and Klarna denied my dispute despite the evidence I sent — frustrating. Weirdly, the wig itself looked decent quality, I mean, that surprised me, but it doesn't make up for everything.
Not what the photos showed
it was clearly shorter than the 26" I ordered. You can tell before you even touch it, honestly, and when you do it just feels... wrong. The hair is stiff and kind of crunchy, not the soft, flexible type I expected. I compared it to a 26" wig from another seller I have and it's a different animal. I messaged the company right away, sent pictures, and they said they'd compensate me. That communication lasted a few back-and-forths and then stopped on WhatsApp; replies in the app promised a refund or cash reward but nothing materialized. After a while I opened a dispute with my bank because I couldn't wait around. Now they're asking me to pay return postage, which seems backwards when the item doesn't match the listing. Bottom line: misleading photos, low-quality feel, flaky follow-up. Could be okay for a one-off craft or if you don't care about length, but not what I expected to wear. Kinda frustrating, and it cost me time and money.
Finally Sorted, Relief at Last
thin, wrong length, frizzy ends, the whole meh package. Getting a return address took forever, like days of back-and-forth, and they kept asking for photos, offering discounts, trying to get me to keep it. I filed a PayPal dispute out of frustration. But here's the bit that mattered — the moment I actually felt satisfied: when the refund finally showed up in my account. I remember checking my bank, waiting, and then seeing the number hit — that little ping of "ok, that’s done" was oddly calming. It didn’t erase the wasted time or the small $10 return shipping I had to cover, but it changed my mood from annoyed to genuinely relieved. The staff eventually responded properly and issued the refund after my second dispute, so credit where it's due. Would I recommend? Maybe with a caveat: if you buy, keep records and be persistent. Also, tell a friend I warned you — and if they step up their returns game, this could be a decent buy.
