the machine does what we bought it for and my husband can actually clear the driveway now, so I'm relieved. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift. The batteries arrived dead. I called and emailed several times. I even sent a video showing they wouldn’t charge. No proper follow-up. Half the winter went by while he sat there unable to shovel because of his rheumatoid arthritis. That’s why I bought it in the first place. Customer service was slow and at times rude — one rep even hung up when I asked to escalate. After multiple calls and a lot of back-and-forth they finally shipped replacement batteries. Took way too long, but the end result helped us out and I’m grateful for that. Still, the whole process was frustrating and could’ve been handled much better.
Morning oops, then relief
I placed an order bleary-eyed while making coffee and somehow added the wrong Bluetooth speaker. Typical. The package shipped almost immediately, which is good and also a little annoying when it’s your own fault. The speaker itself actually feels sturdy — rubbery grip, solid weight for its size, and the buttons aren’t flimsy. I use it on the counter during breakfast and carry it to the porch for calls. Sound is decent for a small thing. Customer service stepped in fast. A rep reached out, contacted FedEx, and rerouted the return while the box was en route. They kept me posted without sounding robotic. Could the ordering flow be clearer so I don’t make dumb mistakes? Yeah. But I appreciated how calmly they fixed it. Felt human. Overall useful product, quick delivery, and a real person helped me out when I messed up.
Small win after a mess
I jury-rigged the cracked bed with zip ties and some duct tape one afternoon, and my kid hopped on, grinning like crazy. The motor still ran, the little lights and horn worked, and watching him actually use it — that surprised me and made the whole ordeal feel less awful. Not a great experience overall, but for the short, everyday fun it still gave, I can’t call it a total loss.
Almost gave up, but my kid actually loves it
after a rocky start this little lathe is doing exactly what I hoped — my son is using it on the weekends and it's been great for learning basic turning. I was honestly ready to toss it back at first though. Right out of the box the center pin was stuck solid and nothing I did loosened it. A buddy who’s done shop work for years popped over, spotted that the tailstock wasn’t staying put when the motor spun, and said it could be unsafe if we ran it that way. So yeah, major red flags initially and I was pretty annoyed. The return process was another headache — they asked for a video proving the problem, promised to email me instructions within a day or two, and those emails often never showed up. I kept calling, got told the same 24–48 hour line, then eventually got a number to send the video to but had to call again to confirm they received it. It felt like a lot of running around. Still, the company did end up working with me — there's a bit of back-and-forth, but they offered options instead of just ignoring me. In the end I had to tweak a few parts with my friend’s help, and now it runs solid and my son is obsessed with making little bowls and pens. So, recommendation: if you’re buying this for weekend projects or teaching a kid like I did, it can be worth it, but budget time for setup and expect to push a bit with customer support. I’m cautiously happy — started skeptical, ended satisfied, and honestly seeing him learn hands-on made the hassle worth it.
Not what I expected
A coworker sent me the link on a slow afternoon and I ordered. It looked useful. It arrived in decent packaging, that was a surprise — solid box, no dents. But that’s about where the positives stop. The height adjustment barely worked. Advertised range turned out to be a couple of centimeters, not the adjustable lift I needed. They called it pneumatic and manual at the same time. Strange. No hoses, no gauges, no inlet valve. Outlet is tiny. It needs pressure to work properly. I asked for operating instructions. What they sent was sparse and not helpful. So I asked for a refund. That kicked off a long back-and-forth by email. They eventually gave a returns number and an address. I posted it. The package was returned because the address was wrong. Then they said they’d moved and gave a new address. I mailed it again and had to pay postage twice. They refunded the original purchase price fairly quickly. They have not refunded the return postage, despite my messages. Emails stopped. I kept things factual, sent payment info as requested, nothing more. Functionally the tool does something, in a pinch, but it’s misdescribed and the aftercare is poor. I won’t buy again.
Half-good bar, half headache
happy it mostly functions and looks better than some cheap stuff I’ve bought before, annoyed by the damaged board and the poor wine rack design. I’ll give them a chance to fix it, and I’ll post photos if they ask.
