Outdoor clothing
My experience with this company was really disappointing. They tried to seem like a friendly outdoor brand but I found them to be deceitful and untrustworthy. They made false promises about discounts and tried to push sales on items that were discontinued in weird sizes. It was obvious that they cared more about making money than making customers happy. On top of that, they hardly ever responded to emails, the shipping costs were super high, and their pricing was all confusing. I felt like they tricked me and I was totally put off by how dishonest they were. I really think others should stay away from this company and not get caught in their trap.
I bought a cool sweatshirt
I recently bought this amazing sweatshirt from this really cool store that I used to love, but it's not the same since they got bought out by a different company. They told me I could get store credit for returning it, but they didn't follow through! They have both my item and my money now. It's pretty disappointing, man.
Tights
I bought some tights from this store not too long ago, but they weren't the best quality. So, I wanted to return them. But when I tried to send them back, I found out that Moosejaw has a return fee of $8, no matter the reason. I also tried to talk to their customer service about it, but I never heard back from them. To be honest, my experience with Moosejaw wasn't great, so I think I'll just stick with REI from now on.
Clothing purchase
I recently bought some clothes from this company, but they didn't fit right. When I tried to exchange them for the right size, I had to pay for the return shipping. Even though I followed all the steps for a return or exchange, I only got store credit back, which I thought was confusing and annoying. I tried to talk to someone higher up, but they told me about a new policy that started on February 1st. It seemed like they were putting their profits before customer satisfaction. I'm really upset about how everything went down at the store, and I won't be buying anything from them again.
Sunglasses sale
I bought these really awesome sunglasses that I found on sale, but later on I discovered that they were even cheaper on Amazon. I decided to reach out to customer service to see if they would honor their price match policy, but unfortunately, they didn't. It was such a bummer.
Puffy Jacket
I got this puffy jacket from a store back in January and man, it turned out to be a complete rip-off! I specifically asked when buying it if I could return it, and the person assured me I could. But when I attempted to return it, it was a disaster! I've been struggling for a while now to get a refund for this really pricey jacket, and both the store and customer service keep giving me the runaround. It seems like they don't care at all about making their customers happy or being honest. It's really frustrating and just not right, you know?
Cool jacket
Hey, I ordered this really awesome jacket online. But guess what? Some random person ended up taking it instead of me and I never received my package! And to top it off, they didn't even give me a refund! When I reached out to customer service, they said they would investigate, but they never followed up. It's really disappointing, not cool at all.
Mammut Free 22 Airbag 3.0 Ready
I bought the Mammut Free 22 Airbag 3.0 Ready from this store recently, and I have to say, I was really let down by the customer service. I specifically asked if the Airbag 3.0 system was included, since it wasn't clear in the listing. The customer support rep told me it was, but when the bag arrived, it didn't have the system. I feel like I was misled and deceived into buying based on inaccurate information.
Points Program Experience
When I was a customer at Moosejaw, I had a really disappointing experience with their points program. I was looking forward to collecting points and using them for my order, but then I found out they wouldn't work. Even though Moosejaw reps told me multiple times that the points would be added, it never happened. Feeling frustrated and tricked, I realized the customer service was not reliable or trustworthy. They kept lying about giving me the points. On the other hand, I've had better experiences with an outdoor retailer like REI, where their points system is simple and dependable.
Sale items
I recently bought some stuff on sale from a website, but then they canceled my order out of nowhere a day and a half later. They told me the price was a mistake and I could reorder them at a much higher cost. When I contacted customer service about it, they gave me a response full of legal talk justifying the cancellation. Everyone makes mistakes, but I think it's important for a company to admit when they mess up and stick to their word with customers. Canceling orders because of pricing errors and then asking for more money to reorder doesn't seem right to me. Businesses should own up to their mistakes, fix the problems on their site, and make sure customers are happy in the future.
Recent purchase - clothing items
I recently bought some clothes online but they didn't fit right, so I tried to return them. Following the website instructions, the return process was easy. But when I got my return, the company gave me store credit instead of putting the money back on my card. That wasn't what they said they'd do in their policy. I called customer service and talked to a supervisor, who admitted the mistake but couldn't fix it. It was frustrating to see a lack of flexibility and good service, especially when others were having the same issue. All in all, I wasn't happy with my shopping experience and don't plan on buying from them again.
Alaskan resident purchase
As a longtime customer of the company, I'm pretty bummed about how things have changed since they were bought out by a bigger sporting goods company. Moosejaw used to hook it up with great stuff like lifetime returns, free shipping to Alaska, and discounts for military, first responders, students, and teachers. But now that's all gone, and my store credit doesn't feel as valuable anymore.
Running shoes purchase
I wasn't sure about buying from them at first because of some bad reviews, but I took a chance and it turned out really well. The running shoes I got were just like they said they would be and came right on time. And I got a great deal on them too! All in all, it was a good experience and I would definitely buy from them again.
Royal Robbins skort
I was kinda nervous about buying from this store because I saw some bad reviews on Trustpilot. But I took a chance and ordered a Royal Robbins skort. I was happily surprised when it arrived quickly and was exactly what I wanted. The skort was the right size and color, and I was glad to see it was the real deal. I usually buy these skorts straight from the manufacturer, so finding it here was awesome.
Oh, and I found out that Moosejaw got bought by Dick's Sporting Goods from Walmart. I think Dick's is making a good move by not selling certain guns, especially after what happened in Parkland. Knowing that makes me feel good about supporting Moosejaw, and it just made me happier with my purchase.recently bought item that I wanted to return
I used to really enjoy shopping at this place, but ever since they got new owners, things have gone downhill. I bought something a few weeks ago and wanted to return it, but when I tried, I found out they completely changed their online system and my account was gone. When I went to return the item, they wouldn't give me my money back and only offered store credit. It's a total scam and I'm not okay with it. I won't be shopping there anymore if they're gonna keep pulling shady moves like this.
Cycling jersey
I was really upset about my experience with this company. I ordered a bright orange cycling jersey, but it came in red. I tried reaching out through email, but didn't get a useful reply. When I called customer service, the person said he couldn't promise the color because he didn't choose the items himself. It was a really frustrating and unproductive conversation. I'm relieved I didn't order any shoes, that would've been even worse. Overall, it was a total waste of time and money.
Arcteryx Beta SL jacket purchase
I just bought the Arcteryx Beta SL jacket from this store because I saw a pop-up ad with a 30% discount. But when I clicked on the ad, there was no discount on the jacket as promised. I contacted Customer Service with screenshots of the ad, but they brushed me off with excuses and didn't solve the issue. This shady advertising tactic is not okay and it makes me not trust this retailer anymore.
Military discount purchase
I was a little unsure about ordering from this place because of all the mixed reviews, but man am I glad I went for it! The price was good, especially with that awesome military discount I got. I placed my order on a Monday and it arrived by Friday, right on schedule and just as it was described. The service was fast and the prices were totally reasonable. Moosejaw totally blew me away and I will definitely be back for more gear in the future.
Hiking boots purchase
I just got a new pair of hiking boots and I have to say, I was pretty happy with how everything went down. I saw some not-so-great reviews online after I bought them, but my boots arrived quickly and were packaged up nice and safe. The customer service folks were really helpful and kind of put my mind at ease. I definitely wouldn't rule out ordering from them again down the road.
Recent Christmas order
I just bought something for Christmas from this company and let me tell you, their customer service was top-notch. UPS lost my package, but Moosejaw really stepped up to fix everything. They sent out a replacement order right away, no extra cost, and upgraded the shipping to overnight for free. I was so impressed with how quickly they took care of everything. The only thing I wish they would work on is providing more product details and pictures, like what Zappos does. That would totally step up the shopping experience.
