Household cleaning products
I started using these household cleaning products back in 2021, and let me tell ya, they have been a total game changer for me. It took a little while, but I managed to switch all my go-to home supplies to these gems - hand soaps, dish detergent, laundry tablets, cleaning spray, you name it. Every single product is top-notch quality and eco-friendly with packaging I can just toss into the compost. The customer service is also top-notch - always super quick to help when I've got a question. But hey, I do kinda wish they offered more options for delivery days and times with the subscriptions. It'd be awesome if I could customize my orders a bit more to fit my schedule better. Overall, I'm really happy with this brand and super thankful for their killer products.
Blueland dish soap powder
I really wanted to love this particular Blueland product; ditching plastic is my goal. But cleanliness of my hand-washed dishes is important, too. First, I'm wondering whether anyone else has found themselves coughing after sprinkling this powder to the sponge? The air borne detergent powder feels like it lodges in my lungs - not what I'm looking for when washing dishes - or ever. This concern is topmost for me, which says something, because my secondary concern matters, too: I can't tell whether the soap is actually cleaning: soapsuds don't generally appear. Is my elbow grease simply removing the mess, or have my dishes been well cleaned with this detergent? Any ideas or tips you have, from your experience, are appreciated.
Blueland makes a big eco-friendly promise, and unfortunately, it falls short of that. The cleaning tablets are fine, acceptable alternatives. However, their cleaning bottles and nozzles, including hand soap nozzles (glass hand soap bottle is fine), are absolute disasters. We have all three cleaners and we have replaced them each twice over, and we're now on our third round and have stopped returning them. Their marketing-esque apology email that was sent to us the first time round said they had improved the bottles and were "confident" the issues were solved. THey also said to remember they were a young company and to go easy. If you're a relatively young and nimble company, you should have nailed it the first time, or own up to it and just stop putting more crap out into the world until you get it right. I absolutely don't recommend these products to anyone, especially after our last (of the round two) bottles came apart and exploded all over me, an expensive coffee table, and the carpet. Two thumbs way down. You have been warned! Classic, perhaps well-intentioned but poorly executed, greenwashing if you ask me.
I am so glad you mentioned this. Two of my bottles exploded this weekend and the liquid got all over the counter. Both bottles were so cracked, it was crazy! I already have replaced one of the bottles previously and now I have two that have exploded.
We find the dish detergent powder causes us to cough each and every time we use it. The fine particulates in the air are very irritating to our lungs. It is a great disappointment. I hope Blueland will address and improve this. It has sent us back to using liquid detergent in a plastic bottle.
I've had similiar issues with the dish soap powder. I cough, sneeze or generally just feel like something is in my throat every time I use it, even if I'm very careful to gentle put it on the wet sponge so it doesn't create a cloud. I would love to keep using this but I can't handle the effects. My husband as asthma and it really bothers him so I won't be buying again. Unfortunately I now have this silicone bottle which i'm not sure what to do with.
Same at my house. Everyone in the room knows when I dispense the dish powder. I'd settle for a less natural product if they'd like to add a little anti toxic dust cloud chemical.
Like the others I wanted to love the products but have a similar issue. I had to put a towel around my face when I poured the dish powder into the container. After that I ended up adding water to the container to mitigate the aeration of the particles each time I used it. I complained and was sent a new package which seems much better. Not entirely sold on it’s cleaning effectiveness
We also wanted to love the product. We ordered the hand soap tablets and refillable bottle. The glass bottle is nice but the pump stopped working on 2nd tablet. They did offer to replace if we would submit pictures or a video of the problem, ad they wanted us to send the broken pumps back. We actually managed to take the pump apart and clean it, run very hot water through it and get it working again temporarily. We're not impressed since the whole point is to be able to reuse the bottle conveniently and save on plastic.
Hand soap and multi-purpose cleaner
I enjoy using the products themselves. My issue is with the method of delivery. The first bottle of hand soap was fragrant and effective, But NOw, not only does the soap not foam, but it just dribbles out of the bottle. Not effectove and don't feel clean.
The multi-purpose sprayer: I am a little neurotic about keeping counters clean, so it's a bit annoying and time consuming that the trigger on the bottle sticks and only slowly returns to position for subsequent pulls.
So while I can give great reviews of ordering, service, pricing and delivery, I'm not sure I'd order again unless there is improvement on the containers.Laundry and dishwasher tablets, refillable tins, body wash
I recently bought laundry and dishwasher tablets from this company and I gotta say, I'm really happy with what I got. I love the reusable tins they come in and the fact that they're convenient and sustainable. I also got a body wash that I've been liking. But I think this company could really step it up by adding sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to their product line. That would be awesome for my shower routine. I'm just tired of all the excessive plastic packaging from other brands, so I'm thrilled to have found a more eco-friendly option.
Hand soaps and basic daily spray
I really love the hand soaps and everyday spray, but the mirror spray always leaves streaks and stuff on my mirrors. I wish the bathroom spray was stronger against bacteria. The scents are amazing, though! The hand pump on the bottles keeps breaking, and it's annoying because I have to use more plastic by throwing away the tops.
Laundry tablets, broken
I've been buying these laundry tablets for a while now and they work pretty well for my laundry and cleaning my toilet bowl. But every time I get them delivered, they always come broken! The bag they come in doesn't protect them at all, so I always end up with a bunch of crumbs. It's really annoying, especially since it happened again with my last order.
Starter Kit
I like the cleaning products. Love the dishwasher tablets. I have had problems with leaking bottles, there is a seam around the Top of the bottle and have had issues with all of them doing this, I had a few completely break off at that seam and the bottom 3/4 of the bottle fall to the ground spilling all of the product. I have emailed the company and they were quick to reply with a replacement bottle and they have all eventually leaked or broke. I have gone and bought spray bottles from the store and use those because of the product.
Hand soap and glass cleaners
Blueland is amazing! I've been using their stuff for a while now (well, just since last year)! My favorite is definitely the foaming hand soap, it smells so good and makes my hands feel really clean. The glass cleaners are also great, they work like a charm without leaving streaks. The only problem I had before was that the foaming pump dispenser kept breaking, but thankfully they've sorted it out. I do wish they would focus more on their packaging though, I want to be able to recycle it all!
Toilet cleaner, bath soap, laundry tabs, booster, and dishwasher tabs
I'm really loving everything I bought here. That toilet cleaner works wonders and makes everything shine! The bath soap smells amazing and makes me feel like I'm at a luxurious spa whenever I use it. The laundry tabs and booster are a perfect duo for my laundry - only downside is I wish the laundry soap smelled as good as the booster. The dishwasher tabs are like magic and they don't hog up a lot of space in my cabinet. Overall, I'm really impressed with all of my purchases.
Starter set, dishwashing and dishwasher cleaner
I love the cleaners, but the bottles are horrible. We have replaced them 2-3 times and they have broken both times. I now use my own bottles. The dishwasher soap is amazing and doesn’t leave a residue on dishes or washer. I like the dish washing soap, but it seems like the last batch the particle size is smaller and it makes you cough. I added water to the one I got and made a liquid soap. I have another one bag to try if it has the same result I will not order it again.
No more plastic bottles
Man, I was really hyped about cutting back on plastic and reusing bottles, but after 14 months of using it, I've had to replace every single soap dispenser and one of the cleaning sprayers. Like, seriously, what's going on with that? Buying cheap things that keep breaking is just not the move. I ended up transferring the cleaning tabs to a different bottle because those Blueland ones were way too fragile. Not cool at all, man.
Dish soap, sponges, hand soap, toilet cleaner
I totally love the stuff I've bought from this company. The dish soap, sponges, hand soap, and toilet cleaner are all awesome and now I can't live without them in my house. They work well, are eco-friendly, and smell great. But, the downside for me has been the subscription service. It's really buggy and makes changing orders a pain in the butt. This is something they should definitely work on fixing.
Eco-friendly cleaning products
The eco-friendly cleaning products I got are seriously amazing! I'm obsessed with the toilet cleaner - it smells so good and works like magic. And I'm loving the dishwasher and washing machine tablets too. They're way better than the old school ones that come in too much plastic. But I kind of wish they had a scented option for those tablets.
Recent environmentally-friendly purchases
I recently decided to start using more eco-friendly cleaning products and got a bunch of different options to cut down on waste in my house. I've been really happy with how well these products work to keep everything clean without hurting the environment. I'm super satisfied with the quality and how well they do the job.
Awesome products
The products are awesome, but man, the customer service and delivery are terrible. I've been waiting for my order for two weeks and can't even reach anyone to check on it. On the bright side, the products are really good and the return policy is simple, so I'll give it 3 stars.
Soap, toilet tabs, spray cleaners
Some products are awesome, like the soap, toilet tabs, and spray cleaners. But some just don't cut it. I really wish they had trial sizes so I wouldn't waste my money on stuff that doesn't work for me. The body wash was the worst - it left my skin feeling all dry and itchy, even when I barely used it. It's so annoying to spend a bunch of money on products that I can't even use.
Dissolvable hand soap tablets
I was really looking forward to trying out these dissolvable hand soap tablets that come in paper packaging. I didn't end up buying the soap dispensers that go with them, but I just used my own instead. The tablets did the job, but I did have some trouble getting them to dissolve all the way. I ended up having to microwave the tablet and water mix to make sure they dissolved completely. And I have to say, the scents are really nice too.
Toilet cleaner purchase
I really love the toilet cleaner I bought! It works so well and leaves a fresh scent that sticks around for hours. I've tried a bunch of other cleaners before, but none of them have done as good a job as this one. Plus, it's eco-friendly and helps reduce waste, which makes me even happier about my purchase. The only downside is that now I wish someone could come clean my entire house with these awesome products!
Laundry set purchase
The laundry stuff from this place does a pretty good job of cleaning, but I do kinda wish they were more upfront about what they put in their products to make them smell good. The face wash we got wasn't all that great - it made my skin feel all dry and had a weird smell, though my husband didn't seem to notice. On the flip side, those dishwasher tablets worked like a charm! Just a tip though, using a rinse aid might take your dishwashing game to the next level.
