Dishwasher detergent & laundry tablets, hand soap
Oh my gosh, I just have to tell you, I'm absolutely in love with these new cleaning products I recently bought. I've been using eco-friendly stuff forever, but I was starting to get tired of all the plastic everywhere. I finally decided to give these tablets and hand soap a try and I am so impressed. They work great, my clothes smell incredible, dishes are super clean, and the reusable containers are adorable.
New home essentials
I just bought a bunch of stuff for my new place - like dishwasher tabs, toilet stuff, laundry stuff, hand soap packs, and cleaner refills. It took a little longer than I thought to process and ship, about a week. But, there was a small problem with one of the items I got. The customer service team fixed it quickly and sent the right thing to me right away. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my purchase and the quality of the products.
foaming hand soap bottle & tablets
Glass bottle is nice and we wanted to save on plastic by using it along with refill tablets. But the pump on the bottle is plastic and it broke on only the second tablet used. Very sad. They offered a replacement pump but wanted us to send a picture or video of the issue and return the broken pump. We managed to take the old pump apart and clean it, getting it to work temporarily. When the pump breaks again, we will go back to other methods that may be less planet friendly but work more consistently...and at least we won't have useless tablets sitting around.
Laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent
They both seemed okay at first, but after awhile we noticed that there was a musty smell coming from the dishwasher, which hadn't been present before. The only reason I bough the Blueland tabs was because our regular dishwasher powder (i.e., Ecover) was out of stock everywhere. Cleaned out the trap in the dishwasher and I have NEVER seen it that dirty before. Disgusting. We also noticed that our clothes didn't seem particularly fresh anymore, and the laundry tablets do NOT dissolve in cold or cool water (which is what we usually use). I had to actually dissolve the tablet in hot water for 10 minutes before starting the washing machine. Maybe the lack of cleaning power had something to do with the fact that we have hard water, but the detergent we were using before (i.e., TruEarth) cleaned our clothes just fine. (TruEarth has PVA, which is basically tiny plastic particles, which kind of defeats the "no plastic" claim they offer.) Blueland is not particularly inexpensive, so we will NOT be purchasing there products again.
2 Starter Kits, refills and dishwasher soap
I have used all of the cleaners and gave a starter kit to my son when he purchased his first home. I wanted to like the product so much. I have not been overwhelmed with the window cleaner, the bathroom cleaner and multi purpose are okay. BUT the dishwasher pellets did an arthrosis job. My dishes do not come clean in the dishwasher at all. I have tried several different approaches, just scrapping and not rinsing the dishes all the way to pre washing. The only way they came out of the dishwasher clean is if they went into the dishwasher clean. I will not be ordering the product again and canceling any up coming shipments.
all purpose cleaner
I ordered the all purpose cleaner and refills. I was satisfied, especially with the environmental aspects of the products. HOWEVER, the plastic spray bottle LEAKED! I have emailed Blueland regarding this, and I have not received any response. They do a great sales job, but if you have a problem or question -- YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!
