after a couple emails they asked for details about missing 't' brackets and then shipped the parts. Service solved the problem, just not fast. If you need things urgently, look elsewhere; if you can wait, in the end they'll make it right. Tip: ping them early.
Nice sale, terrible follow-through
great salesperson, awful delivery—wouldn’t buy from them again if I needed it fast. I ordered a $5,000 piece of kitchen equipment (plus $660 freight) a few weeks ago; the rep knocked some off the online price and even added parts we needed, which was a nice surprise. I started off impressed. But three days after the promised delivery there’s no sign of the unit, FedEx Freight has no info, and Chef’s Deal can’t or won’t help locate it. Our old machine died so we’re stuck. Good deal on paper, lousy follow-through. Not happy about it.
Salma delivered, plain and simple
It worked out — thanks to Salma. She kept a promise and got our commercial mixer here before Christmas, when the maker had pushed deliveries past Thanksgiving. I was ready to cancel and buy a different model. She sent a clear plan and regular updates, and that actually settled me down. My wife opened the box as soon as it arrived and started baking right away. She said the dough handled firmer and the loaves came out better, no joke. We’ve had shaky experiences with other vendors who overpromised and then missed dates, so this felt reliable. No fuss, just follow-through. The price felt fair for a commercial unit. Ordering was straightforward, delivery was on time, and the personal attention made the difference, and we use it a lot.
New kitchen, same nerves — but relieved
Right in the middle of the install I remembered all the worrying I did before ordering — drop-shipper, long lead times, the usual horror stories. I needed this oven for a small catering ramp-up (and yes, after a few bad supplier experiences I was extra picky), so I almost stalled. Turns out most of that worry faded. The unit showed up in decent shape, fairly quickly once shipping actually kicked in, and it’s been running solid for the last couple weeks. There were a couple little hiccups — a cable detail that I thought would be included, a delayed email — but the team moved on it when I nudged them and got me the right cord and a quick how-to call. Not perfect, not lightning fast, but professional enough and way better than my last supplier mess. Food goes out on time, cooks evenly, and the crew likes it. Would I buy again? Probably — just make sure you double-check installation items ahead of time and be ready to follow up. Little annoyances, but overall very usable and I’m actually glad I took the chance.
Great-looking unit, missing the basics
no power cord. So yeah, beautiful machine that won’t turn on. That missing cord meant the whole project stalled, contractors sat around, and I had to call a licensed electrician who charged $578 just to jury-rig a temporary fix. The oven does work now, after the extra labor and hassle, so it’s not a lemon in function. What bugs me is the lack of help from the seller — I sent photos and the electrician invoice, asked them to overnight the proper part or reimburse, and got stonewalled. Felt like buying from a middleman who washes their hands after the sale. If you have time to spare and don’t mind surprises, it’ll run. But for a time-sensitive, big purchase, I wouldn’t trust this company again.
