nice weight, comfy to hold, grinds smoothly and the refill is painless. Used it that night and it felt solid — quiet little hum, even grind size. Bit annoying at first, but honestly I’m really glad it ended up so easy to fix.
Seventeen-year staple
I grabbed these salt and pepper mills 17 years ago because of the lifetime warranty and, honestly, for the look—wood and metal looked classy on my counter. They’ve been used daily, smooshing through everything from flaky sea salt to hard peppercorns. After about seven years the grinding stopped—annoying—but customer service sent a replacement no fuss. Fast forward another ten years and the mechanism acted up again; once more they replaced it under warranty. I was actually surprised how helpful and patient the team was. They feel solid in the hand, grind consistently, and we still prefer them in our kitchen.
