the same company family sells the same item on a sister site, for more money. That felt... off. The delivery was a mess and customer service sounded tired, defensive even. I wanted a simple solution, not corporate dodgeball. I’m a bit disappointed, a bit annoyed, and honestly hesitant to trust them again. Small win: their rep was polite eventually, but politeness doesn’t replace the item or my evening plans.
Nice watch, terrible checkout
I actually spotted this watch because a friend sent me a screenshot — light blue dial, stainless steel band, looked like a decent everyday piece, so I went for it. I tried to order on their site, used Apple Pay, the payment went through and the confirmation page appeared, but I never got an order email. I didn’t write down an order number out of habit since sites usually email you. The money did leave my account — I can prove that — and I’d signed up for their emails for a 10% code and used it. Oddly I later got an email asking me to review and maybe win a voucher, which suggested the order existed somewhere. I called customer service and after the usual wait they told me there was no order under my name or address. So I’m down about $57 and have nothing to wear, no tracking, no delivery. I never got to feel the watch on my wrist, so I can’t say how it wears in real life; in photos it looked good though. Overall the product looked promising, but the buying process was sloppy and left me pretty annoyed.
Ring drama turned relief
I was weirdly nervous before I ever bought from these folks — had a few horror stories from other jewelers where warranties were useless and customer service just ghosted you. So when my engagement ring stone popped out the night I proposed (yes, horrible timing), I braced for the worst. I called the online chat first, they offered a pickup and refund which I almost accepted because I didn't want the hassle, but the ring was sentimental so I asked if they could repair instead. They suggested a local store, I drove an hour, felt skeptical the whole way. Then things got messy — three weeks later the shop called and said it was accidental damage and quoted me £135. I was annoyed and honestly expecting more arguing. But then I spoke to Linda at the main team and she actually listened, like properly listened, checked stuff, reversed the decision and sorted the repair. So yeah, my doubts faded. It wasn't instant perfection — the delay and the initial confusion were irritating and I still wonder why it was misclassified — but in the end they fixed it and treated me like a person, not a ticket. If you’ve had bad experiences elsewhere, I get it, but give their customer care a try; for me it turned out better than I expected.
Lost in the queue
Three weeks into this I still half expect them to call and say "oh right, your ring" — and that's the ridiculous part. I dropped off my engagement ring for a simple clean and two days later got a call claiming a sapphire was missing. Weird, because when I handed it over there were no missing stones (a shop assistant later confirmed they were all there when accepted). Since then it's been radio silence, or the kind of drip-feed updates that feel like someone forgot to hit send. I have chased them more times than I can count. One person on the phone was actually decent and apologetic, which surprised me — small human moment — but it didn't fix anything. The workshop hasn't given a clear timeline, and no real accountability was offered for the stress of not having a ring that means a lot to me. What should have been a quick clean turned into a slow, annoying ordeal. If you use them, get everything in writing, take photos, and be prepared to follow up. I hope they sort it soon, for their sake and mine; I'd hate for anyone else to go through this with something irreplaceable.
Little diamond, big hassle
29pm that ignored my points. Honestly, I’m annoyed but not furious — just disappointed in the handling and the shrug.
