A return shouldn’t turn into a scavenger hunt across town, especially after I’ve already done everything the company asked. I first found Lookfantastic through a coworker in Dubai who kept recommending their beauty deals, and honestly, placing the order was easy enough. The surprise came later, and not in a good way.
A frustrating order that never got resolved
I really expected this to be a straightforward order, but it turned into weeks of back-and-forth with no clear solution. I placed an order for 10 units on April 27 and waited longer than expected without any delivery update. When I contacted customer support on May 8, I was told the package had been lost in transit and that a replacement would be arranged. Okay, disappointing, but things happen, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The next day I received confirmation of a replacement order, but it included only one unit instead of the 10 I had paid for. When I asked about the missing items, I was told more would be sent once stock became available. That didn’t really make sense to me, especially since no clear timeline was given. I then asked for a refund for the unavailable items and provided the information they requested. After that, I kept hearing that the case was under investigation and that my funds would be released soon. Then, on May 29, I received an email saying they had reviewed CCTV footage, concluded the order had been packed, and decided to close my account. That was honestly confusing and pretty upsetting, because the earlier emails clearly acknowledged the lost parcel and replacement shipment. The whole process felt disorganized, and I never felt like anyone was actually reviewing the full history of the case. Maybe other customers have had better luck, but based on my experience, I would be very cautious when placing a larger order here. Save every email and screenshot everything.
Free delivery, until it wasn’t
I should have paused when checkout felt a little too simple. I placed a fairly big order, over 200, because the app clearly showed free delivery above that amount. At no point did I realize the package was coming from the UK, and nobody flagged that extra charges could appear when it arrived.
