Overall I'm glad I bought it — mostly because the seller actually handled the mess. I needed a desktop fast after a chaotic move and my old laptop finally died, so I took a chance on a "standard condition" iMac. Expected some wear. Didn't expect a decent-sized dent on the bottom-right corner, like it ran into a table sometime. Photos weren't clear. The rep contacted me the next day and knocked the price down, which was reassuring and honestly appreciated. Still hoping the screen has no issues. A bit banged up, but usable and I'm relieved.
Spotted on Reddit, came out fine
I didn’t have a box, so their email with a DPD tracking number and the option to drop it off at a parcel shop made it straightforward. I grabbed the prepaid box in the afternoon, packed the laptop at home, and returned it to the shop that evening. Watching the DPD tracking made the whole thing feel under control instead of flakey. They emailed when they got it the next day, checked the machine, and paid promptly after inspection. I told a coworker about it afterward—he's thinking of trading in his machine too. Overall dry process, started cautious and ended satisfied.
Clean unit, delivery fast but apps blocked
a deep clean/jailbreak had blocked some original app reinstalls — couldn't restore or re-download a few things. Customer service replied and helped, somewhat slowly, but overall it's usable, not perfect though. I found a couple workarounds that mostly fixed it.
College win and a little surprise
feather-light, keyboard nicer than I remembered, screen sharp, battery outlasted a whole lecture playlist — surprise. Kid's happy, so yeah, pretty solid buy.
