    Muzzle device

    I've emailed this company several times over the course of two months. All through their portal on their website, so I have no way of knowing my email actually is being received. I have no updates on my order, no explanation of why it's taken so long to process my order, and no ability to cancel my order either.

    I've seen passive-aggressive remarks to another buyer for being "too ..." to understand what part to order, so "no refunds will be given". I do not recommend buying from them whatsoever. We will see when my order is fulfilled. Stay away. It is not worth the cheap price.

    Brake would be shipped in 5 days
    Two weeks later no brake
    I sent.
    Another email nothing.
    They are lairs at best and up front rip-off at worst. Don’t waste your money

    Childish, trashy, unprofessional customer service

    I was so pleased to learn that Witt had become a Texas business. I had ordered in the past and had pleased with their product. I ordered a 3rd muzzle brake and rec'd something that I did not order. I emailed them and advised I had been sent the wrong brake. I rec'd an email back stating they would send a return label telling me to send it back and tell them AGAIN what I needed. I called them and talked to a young lady. My intention was to just advise what had happened and that it was okay to apologize to a paying customer when you make a mistake. All through this phone call not one apology. She did say I was going to apologize but you interrupted me. And then she hung up on me. I called back, talked to a different young lady, told her the issue, was told I be sent a return label, and I advised I wanted a refund. Do you think I got an apology, a Sorry for the part mix up, no I didn't. I will no longer shop through Witt. If this is their business integrity and ethics I will reward another business.

    .308 integrally suppressed barrel system

    Bought the Ruger Precision Rifle in .308 and found the integrally suppressed barrel kit available for sale from Machine Gun Tours made by Witt Machine in Colorado.

    Went through all the NFA process and had the rifle and suppressed barrel kit taken to a local gun shop for assembly and cerakoting of the sleeve.

    The local gun shop was unable to do the work so they shipped it off to Witt Machine for their assistance. There the conversion was made and it was returned for removal of the titanium sleeve and coating as requested.

    Upon delivery it was a very nice looking setup.

    Ammunition selected was from Engel Ballistics and matched the same used by MGT in their demo video.

    Initial visit to an indoor range resulted in first shots not found on target.....follow on shots were no different and it made what appeared to be a fragmented blast out the barrel. I immediately ceased firing and inspected the barrel. once clear I left the range and returned home to more closely inspect the assembly.

    I was unable to remove the Allen head bolts from the end cap and two broke off while I was attempting with a Wheeler tool.

    Witt Machine was contacted immediately and I was requested to ship it to them for inspection and warranty work if needed.

    Over the following two weeks I was in touch with their "gunsmith" by email and phone and was informed they felt the sleeve tension on the end cap was to blame for the failure and inner core strikes.

    There were three items requested of the shop gunsmith and owner:
    1. Itemized list of damaged components
    2. Photographic evidence of disassembly for each component.
    3. Invoice/Price list for replacement components to restore suppressed rifle to original firing form.

    None of these were provided. I was advised that Witt Machine would give me the tools needed to take this to court and have the cost for all items included for compensation. The owner informed me by phone I had two options, allow them to transfer my serialized sleeve by cutting and welding to another assembly which would not look smooth as originally purchased or file for a new NFA tax stamp and wait for approval. I opted not to select the first since I suspected that was in violation of federal law and I wanted the original look to the parts since they were bought new did not want a welded kit.

    I was not contacted for the next 7 months concerning this and Witt Machine did not return emails, phone calls, text message or provide any other means of help to how and when they were to give me back my firearm.

    I kept a phone log of all calls to the numbers I had on record and repeatedly left voicemail on their phone or left at least three messages with a receptionist and got NO return calls.

    I attempted to have MGT intervene on my behalf and they did not respond after I provided them the information as described.

    Was finally able to get a response when on Witt Machine Facebook page I sent a message threatening legal and law enforcement action to have them return my firearm. Their only response was that I would have a tracking number within the week, and the video account above shows the results.

    I cannot encourage anyone to patronize Witt Machine for their products, feel they have no sense of pride in their workmanship, deflected blame for their design and assembly and took no steps after the sale or submission for warranty coverage they advertise beyond the sale.

    I have seen lots of reviews saying that things took a while to get there. I ordered my SME on 2/6, it shipped on 2/8, and it came in the mail on 2/12. It looks great! If the weather complies I'll be trying it out tomorrow.

    Well, maybe its a individual thing. ordered mine on 3/17 and it hasn't shipped yet. email to the company 3/21 and no response yet.

    I had read good things about the muzzle brake from this team and was excited to purchase one with my new rifle. Everything went great with the order and I made the payment. Then the happiness went away and I had to file a complaint with the BBB to get a refund, after 4 weeks Witt would not return phone calls or emails with no idea of when this part would ship out. So much for the two week lead time as promised. Read their reviews and do not make the same mistake I did.

    Muzzle Break

    This place is a joke and managed by clowns. Payed for a break in October 2020 and it's now December and still nothing. They don't respond to email. I've called multiped times and got the same run around. The break was a special thread that they only do twice a year so they kept pushing my order to the back of the list. The clowns here think this is expectable service. Don't waste your time and money.

    As with the other customers I ordered 10/2/ 20 and had great hopes for this companies product. My CC was charged 10/4/20. I waited around 5 weeks and gave them a call, the lady that took the call sounded like she was having a very bad day. She could offer no info on the order or the status of it. At that time I read the reviews on Witt Machine and was very sorry I ordered from them. My bad, should have checked that first. If I had read them first I would never have ordered anything from them. It is now 12/3/20 and I have never heard from them. Anyway they have my money and brake. Going to try Kahntrol , hopefully they are better than this company.
    Also going to call the card company and try to get my money back.

    SME Lightweight, caliber 223/5.56

    After reading the above reviews I was a little hesitant about placing an order with these guys, but decided that I was interested enough in the product that it was worth taking the chance. I received my order in 10 days and the parts are nicely machined, sturdy, and fit well on my AR. Indoors the sound volume is somewhat reduced but the real test will be at the range next week. So far no complaints.

    Ordered took a while so started checking on it once money showed on my account month and half after ordering it. Email was answered that it was too small and the couldnt build it and would refund my money. After a week started calling and emailing them for next several weeks with no reply. Then the brake shows up it looked good and was great fit seem to be. Followed instructions far as lock tight and torque settings.its been several months since install and hadn't shot gun. I went to check it yesterday and where I had been dead on at 100 yards I wasnt even on paper. So moved closer and shot till i was on target then moved back to 100 yards ,when i when to shoot i noticed the brake was gone. Walked back to where i was shooting and found it. I dont believe I'll put it back on but it does make a cool looking 100 dollar paper weight. DO NOT BUY!!!

    I placed my order in September 26, 2020 with my measurements and didn't hear from them after they took my money. But I e-mailed them and with in 3 days. I got a conformation that my order was being shipped and it fit perfectly no fuse on fitting . It's finish was really nice and smooth, they even gave 2 extra bolts. and it looks great on the gun. haven't had the chance to shoot the gun yet with it on but looking down the barrel every thing lines up great. So I don't think I should have any problems.

    Witt custom clamp on muzzle brake

    In Nov 2019 I ordered a clamp on muzzle brake for my Tikka T3 300 Win Mag ... ordering was simple and quick.
    That’s where the positives stop.

    After about a month I emailed asking for an eta ... I was surprised with the defensive reply. Basically they were “we advise on our website that Canadian orders com3 with no guarantees or refunds”. Basically they said customs takes a while because of the govt shipping no issues. Basically I said well give me the shipping info I’ve got a resource that can help with the customs. No reply .. emailed again and the response was ever more terse basically saying my issue and buyer beware. They had t shipped it out rather applied for the “appropriate paperwork and couldn’t ship until they get that back”.
    Now I talked to a friend of mine who works with Canada customs and said yes product for firearms can be a hassle to import to Canada from the US but no big deal just get the application info from Witt and he’ll walk it through the process with US customs. Anyway long story short .. Witt does not respond to calls or email from me. Basically they took my money and as far as I can tell never even made the brake and had no intention of doing so because it was a Canadian order and they knew it would be a lot of red tape and it would probably get “lost” in the system .... but I had the resources to get it walked thru the process, they didn’t count on that and ghosted me .... if your a Canadian trying to a muzzle brake from Witt Machine don’t bother they just steal from you

    Clamp-on Muzzle Brake adapter for 300 WinMag -SCRAP, TERRIBLE CR!

    I am as selective as anyone else regarding the companies I decide to do business with, and although I have read the bad reviews, after reading a bit about the Witt Machine history, I developed enough respect and confidence to make my decision and hoped that it won't happen to me.
    Anyways, I received the parts I ordered in about 2 weeks. The muzzle brake looked fine but the muzzle clamp adapter came in with a surprising concentricity error between the threads and the hole of about 11.5 mils. Considering the questionable barrel alignment added by the clamp section and the resulting muzzle break tilt, the total error is very likely to lead to a bullet hit before leaving the assembly.

    After attempting to install the muzzle clamp adapter on the rifle so I can measure the assy compounding concentricity error, to my surprise it did not fit onto the rifle barrel either. Even after reversing the clamping screws as instructed to open the clamp as much as possible and forced it in with a plastic mallet, the barrel stopped about half inch from bottoming out into the clamp adapter. The screw heads also rub into their seats stripping away the ceramic coating.
    Before returning the product and add to the bad reviews I found on the exact same issue, I decided to further analyze these 2 issues and give Witt Machine a fair chance to fix them. I found that the barrel fit issue was a result of a fundamentally wrong way to measure the rifle barrel end section as instructed, which is not only insufficient to describe the true muzzle shape/geometry, but actually detrimental. Although not obvious to the naked eye, the end of the barrel on my Remington 700, and I suppose other rifles owned by so many of the people that report with similar complaints on being unable to fit these clamp-on adapters, is not exactly conical to only require 2 measurements (at muzzle end and 1.625" deep), but it is actually rounded off towards the end, creating a curved outline. That would require at least 3-4 measurements along the 1.625” barrel end section in order to properly describe the true muzzle shape.
    So I decided to put in a few hours and made a detailed 3D CAD drawing to help us all solve this issue which I suspect is fairly common in barrel manufacturing, and hopefully improve their website measurement instructions to avoid encountering future issues for the benefit of their customers, but their company as well.
    I emailed the drawing with my comments for review and asked for feedback and their input on solving this issue, but no reply. I pinged them again asking how they want to solve this issue after another week, but again -no answer. After 2 additional weeks -still no reply, so I decided to call the company and talked with a CR lady who didn't seem to be neither sympathetic towards the issue, nor interested in allowing me to have a constructive discussion with a technical person to whom I could present my analysis concluding that the WittMachine measurement method and instructions on their website lacks the necessary detail and leads to inaccurate characterization of certain kinds of barrel muzzle geometries. BTW, she said that they read and respond to all their emails. Right…
    In spite of my insistent but polite efforts to make her understand that the improvements I am suggesting to their measurement method would correct the issues complained by so many customers in the bad reviews I have seen (which BTW I was cut off by her saying that it isn't true, but it's ok, I believe the countless online reviews and comments), minimize product returns and ultimately -not only significantly benefit us as customers, but the WittMachine company as well, the CR expressed no interest whatsoever. More than that, as she seemed to run out of patience, she told me to ship the part back (at my expense) for a refund, after which the call was cut short with a quick thank you then she hung up before I could even respond with a customary greeting.
    Obviously, I can't tell if this level of rare disinterest for constructive dialog with a customer who is willing and even inviting to do just that is a general company lack of regard, or if it comes from this employee's single ended decision or lack of interest in personal involvement -fact about which the company might not even be aware of, the bottom line is that I am very disappointed with the experience and I will never order from this company again, nor I advise anyone to do that.
    Given the experience, I am not even going to send the part in for refund because at this point I am not sure how this could end. I own a lathe and decided to take a stab at fixing this myself rather than pay return shipping and continue to deal with this company any further.
