a stiff neck the first day, and the second I kept shifting around, couldn't get comfortable. I nearly returned it, but figured pillows take time. On day three I actually slept through and woke with my neck supported, finally. I use it every night and for propped-up reading while working from home; mornings are way better now. Not perfect right away, but worth sticking with. Oh, and shipping to Australia was faster than I expected.
Way better sleep
this pillow actually helped him sleep more nights than not. He’s used to fighting for a comfortable position because one of his back bones is a little out of line and his hands go numb if he sleeps weird. I’m saying that first, because it matters more than fancy specs. He used to roll up an old pillow into a tight ball and hug it like that, or lie with his hand under his cheek — weird little habits that never really worked. This pillow kind of replaces the hand — the side pocket is just right for resting a hand and he says that makes a big difference. The middle is scooped so his head settles in and doesn’t slide around, which keeps him from waking up all contorted. It feels like memory foam but not super slow, it springs back quicker than those bricks you sometimes get. We use it every night, sometimes for afternoon naps and even when he lounges watching TV; it’s become the go-to. It’s not perfect — it felt a bit firm the first couple nights and the pocket could be deeper — but after a week he slept better than he had in months. Would recommend to someone with the same small annoyances. Not magical, but actually helpful, and that’s rare enough.
Nice pillow, messy return
the fabric breathes nicely and there's no chemical smell, so if the fit had been right we'd have kept it. Tip: double-check dimensions and insist on tracked returns. I want my money back, but the pillow? Pretty good.
