I didn't expect to feel relieved, but when she finally picked up where we left off that lesson I knew it could work. I use these classes for daily practice between work and errands, so consistency matters. We still repeated stuff too often, which kept me cautious, but overall glad
Mid-chat drops
Was mid-conversation when the call dropped—again. Teachers are solid and I’ve had some really good chats, even one who stayed late to wrap up, which surprised me. Problem is the unreliable connection; I spend more time reconnecting than learning. Compared to other services the tutors are decent, but I'm not getting my money's worth.
Good teachers, flaky connections
Not worth it overall. The teachers are solid, actually—I've had few great sessions, patient. But the connection drops a lot. I kept reconnecting and losing parts of lessons. That ruins the value for me. Compared to other apps I've used, this one feels buggy, though one teacher surprised me with great feedback.
Mostly the private ones worked
mostly talk, little teaching, and I couldn't get a refund on a five-class. Mixed, but private lessons work.
Didn't expect this to click
Honestly, I wasn't sure at first (I'd only done Genki and solo drills), but the lessons feel casual and real — like someone sitting across helping you string sentences instead of memorizing charts. I came in shaky about starting and ending conversations, but after few sessions I relax and chat. Teru's patient, practical, and gives feedback that sticks. Glad I tried it.
Night-before relief
I remember my phone buzzing the night before the lesson. I had paid the teacher and then got an odd string of emails asking to change the time to slots that didn't work for me. At first the company seemed to side with the teacher and I thought I'd lost my money. I complained. It took a few calls and some back-and-forth, but the moment I saw the refund hit my account I was satisfied. That was the relief — they actually reversed it and acknowledged the mix-up. I've been burned by other platforms before, so I appreciated that follow-through. Not perfect. Still, glad it ended this way, and a little thankful they sorted it out.
Quietly impressed
Skeptical then satisfied
Quick help
Wasn't sure, impressed
Tiny lifesaver
Moving sucked, needed help; lessons came quick, support actually cared.
Tiny progress, big smile
Started last week; her gentle corrections made me actually speak.
Funky redesign
That fish is weird—like, why a fish? AI helped once, weird, but annoying.
Weird update, but okay
Was wary of new look and AI, needed help moving with bad back, surprisingly relieved.
Credit gone, surprised by support
Credit disappeared after a few weeks, annoying. Support actually helped faster than expected, delivery was fine too.
Credits went poof
Bought credits, used one, then they expired — felt dumb. Support surprisingly fixed it quickly; wish they'd warn.
Clunky interface, great tutors
First week I tried it, tutors were great, but the updated UI felt clunky and confusing, sadly.
Practical pick
Sitting in a coffee shop I spotted it on a friend's phone; app feels snappy and practical, tutor's solid, I'll keep
Happy overall, UI's rough
Overall really happy — tutors nailed it for my exam prep, even though the UI's clunky.
Not bad, delivery lagged
First saw it on a friend's story, recommended it to my cousin — delivery was slow, customer service helped, so I'm relieved.
Thought I'd be lost
I was doubtful at first — scheduling, teachers, you know — but after a few lessons my doubts melted; tutor even sent a playlist too
Quick start, comfy lessons
I started using it last month — logging in was smooth, finding a tutor quick, I'm happy with lessons, scheduling glitches popped up
