Online tutoring sessions
I've been doing online tutoring sessions and it's been really good. Sometimes there are a few tech issues, but overall, the sessions have been awesome and my tutor is amazing. Being able to learn online has really made a difference for me, and I've definitely gotten a lot better at my language skills.
Lesson booking trouble
I had a really frustrating time trying to schedule a lesson on this platform. The first instructor ended up canceling because of rain, and the rescheduled lesson with another instructor got moved to a later time without checking with me first. To top it off, the connection cut out halfway through the lesson, and I wasn't able to get my money back from the platform.

Improved italki platform with group lessons
The italki platform has definitely stepped up their game with the addition of group lessons, which I think is a great idea. But, there are a couple things that could use some work. First off, there's this annoying problem where the program keeps kicking users out in the middle of a lesson in the italki classroom, which gets pretty annoying. Second, I think they should offer more ways to withdraw money, especially for users in countries like Russia. It would be helpful to have options like AdvCash. And lastly, I've noticed there's been a drop in new students booking lessons lately. They could fix that by giving us more info on the best times to be available for students in different time zones.
French and Hebrew lessons
iTalki is so convenient when it comes to finding tutors and scheduling lessons. I've been using it for French and Hebrew, and it really has made a big difference for me. While DuoLingo and HelloTalk are awesome for vocabulary and basics, iTalki takes it to the next level with focused conversational practice, which is key for really mastering a language. I'm thrilled that I stumbled upon iTalki!
Learning languages service
I thought it would be cool to chat with native speakers and teachers to pick up a new language, but honestly, I was kind of let down. The prices were way too steep, especially if you're looking to have lessons on the reg. And don't even get me started on the quality of the video calls - total bummer, even with my top-notch wifi.

My language class wasn't great because the audio and video quality was bad. The video kept freezing and lagging, which made it hard to communicate effectively in a new language. What really bothered me was when the tutor mentioned that she always has issues with the platform we were using and suggested switching to Skype in the middle of the session. I couldn't help but wonder why she didn't suggest using Skype from the start so I could have been prepared or chosen to cancel if I preferred the original platform. Good audio is really important in a language class, and the poor quality really affected my learning. Despite this, the class was just okay in terms of the content and teaching.
