I thought it would be cool to chat with native speakers and teachers to pick up a new language, but honestly, I was kind of let down. The prices were way too steep, especially if you're looking to have lessons on the reg. And don't even get me started on the quality of the video calls - total bummer, even with my top-notch wifi.
Language class purchase
My language class wasn't great because the audio and video quality was bad. The video kept freezing and lagging, which made it hard to communicate effectively in a new language. What really bothered me was when the tutor mentioned that she always has issues with the platform we were using and suggested switching to Skype in the middle of the session. I couldn't help but wonder why she didn't suggest using Skype from the start so I could have been prepared or chosen to cancel if I preferred the original platform. Good audio is really important in a language class, and the poor quality really affected my learning. Despite this, the class was just okay in terms of the content and teaching.
Language lessons with Gabriel Giuseppe
Gabriel Giuseppe is a great tutor! He's so patient and really knows his stuff. With his help, my language skills have definitely gotten better. Now I feel more confident both speaking and writing in the language. I can't wait to keep working with him and buying more lessons down the road.

They've got a bunch of experienced educators who are all about helping students get better at speaking new languages. What really stood out to me was the offer to try out 3 lessons at half the price - that way I can figure out which teacher works best for my style of learning. Overall, I totally recommend this platform to anyone wanting to learn a new language.
