Unauthorized Subscription and Payment
I've been pretty frustrated with the platform lately. They charged me twice for a subscription I never even approved. I'm not happy about it, so I'll probably have to take some legal action to sort this out.
Confusing subscription renewal
Renewing my subscription was such a headache. I was just trying to see my options before going through with it, but somehow I accidentally restarted my subscription without really knowing what I was getting into. I had to go back and forth between old bills and my bank statements to see what I was charged. And to top it off, I couldn't even delete my credit card info to prevent future mishaps. Trying to cancel on my phone was a mess, and now I'm out of money for an extra month. This whole thing has really frustrated me and has me questioning if I want to keep using this service.
English book
The English book I bought was terrible. The English in it was pretty bad and the examples were totally off base. It was really disappointing and now I'm never going to buy another book from them.
Subscription cancellation issue
I had a really frustrating situation trying to cancel my subscription. Even after I canceled, they kept charging me without asking. When I reached out to customer service for a refund, they were cold and said they don't give refunds once they've taken your money.
Annual Subscription Credits Issue
I gotta tell you about this crappy thing that happened with my Annual Subscription with this company. So, I signed up thinking I was gonna earn credits every month for books and videos that I could keep. But then, I canceled my subscription in February and come to find out Packt changed their terms. Now you gotta have an active subscription to actually use the credits. That's not what they told me when I signed up! I feel like they pulled a fast one on me and it's not cool.
Business data videos
I bought three business data videos from this site hoping to learn more and improve my skills in that area. But when I tried to download the videos with a voucher, I ran into issues and couldn't see the content. The back-and-forth emails with customer service weren't helpful and just added to my frustration, lasting for days with no solution in sight. Luckily, after sharing my story online, the seller finally reached out and fixed the problems after a long six-day wait. Even though I eventually got to watch the videos, I felt like they weren't very useful or relevant to what I needed. All in all, this whole experience has left me disappointed and unhappy with my purchase.
