a lot of the files shown were garbled or wouldn’t open. They said there might be logical damage and that repairing that wasn’t included in the service (you’d need separate software). Fine, except then they asked for a thousand euros up front to release the data, with no guarantee the files would be usable. I asked for a small sample download or at least a clearer estimate of how much was actually intact—refused. They also couldn’t tell me what percentage of my important data was recoverable. After some back-and-forth I got €150 off, but still no real transparency about what was working and what wasn’t. What stuck with me was one clear problem: they insisted many files were irreparable, yet using free tools at home (TestDisk/PhotoRec) I managed to pull out several files they’d written off. So either the lab did the bare minimum, or they were incompetent. Customer interaction felt brusque and pushy—there was talk of deleting recovered data within days if I didn’t pay, which made the whole thing high-pressure. Minor good: the initial diagnosis was fast and the TeamViewer setup was convenient, so you do get quick visibility. But overall it left a sour taste—slow to explain, cheap on details, and charging a lot for something they couldn’t prove would be useful. If you need transparency and hands-on follow-up, I’d be cautious here.
Refund Treadmill
skip these folks — they won't refund you, and you'll just waste time. I bought the software, wasn't happy within their supposed 30-day trial, asked for a refund on day two and then entered a three-week loop of "we're looking into it" emails. Support is polite but moves like molasses, lots of talking, no action. I've dealt with better and worse companies, and this one ranks poorly. I kept explaining how important my files were, tried to stay patient, asked them to escalate, even offered compromises — nothing. I'm tired, a little annoyed, and honestly half ready to let the money go just to stop the back-and-forth. If you care about your time, consider other options.
