I peeked through a corner and the metal frame looked fine, which surprised me. My tip? Ask the seller for pics before they ship, or insist on sealed packing. I wanted a workout, not to clean up someone else's mess.
Good at first, then trouble
smooth resistance, quiet water sound, a proper workout, simple. It lasted like that for three, maybe four years. Then after year five the plastic tank started leaking. Big metal frame, tiny plastic tank — felt wrong. I tried fixing it with marine glue. Nope. I emailed customer service and got nowhere; back-and-forth that never answered the basic question: can I replace the tank? Eventually they told me because I bought it in Canada they wouldn't cover it. That stung. For a machine that gave me years of daily use, I expected better support. In the end I felt stuck — good memories, but frustrated that a replaceable part wasn't straight-forward and that the company washed its hands. Sad, really — could've been different.
Shredded belt, fast fix
promised parts, then sent a new belt and bearing sets within three days. The repairs were straightforward (their YouTube video helped), and now it’s back to normal. Glad it worked out — appreciate that the company actually followed through and fixed it quickly, even if the initial response was a bit slow.
Smells told me something was off
seemed sturdy enough, compact, and I liked that it folded away. But right from the start there was this annoying burning‑plastic smell when it ran; I got used to it, which is weird, but I never stopped checking for dust. I’d pop the shield off, vacuum under it with my Dyson before sessions, give it a 30–60 minute cool‑down between walks — all that. Today it died on me at about 1.9 miles at 3.4 mph, threw an error and would not restart even after unplugging, checking wires, flipping the switch — nothing. The smell was strong again right before it cut out, so that’s the detail I want to call out: the persistent plastic/burning odor, not great and to me that screams design or motor stress. Still, I’m a bit grateful it lasted over two years of daily use — I walked so much on it that I got my money’s worth, honestly. Warranty had just expired a month earlier and the exact model’s gone from Amazon now, which is annoying.
Quiet relief after the quick fix
smooth water resistance, a solid frame, and workouts that felt satisfying from the first few sessions. It wasn’t fancy, but it did the job and felt worth the money at the time.
