    A Decent Flight Experience with Aer Lingus

    I recently flew with Aer Lingus for a trip to Ireland and overall, I had a pleasant experience. The booking process was smooth and easy to navigate on the website. The prices for my flight were also competitive compared to other airlines.

    On the day of my flight, check-in was a breeze and the staff at the airport were friendly and helpful. The flight itself was comfortable and on-time. The in-flight entertainment options were limited, but I was able to find a few movies to watch.

    One downside of my experience with Aer Lingus was the food options. I purchased a meal during the flight and was not impressed with the quality or taste.

    In terms of customer service, I had to contact Aer Lingus a few times before my trip with questions and the representatives I spoke with were polite and efficient in resolving my issues.

    Overall, I would recommend Aer Lingus for their competitive prices and decent in-flight experience. However, I would suggest bringing your own food or opting for a different meal option during the flight.

    Flight to San Francisco

    I flew from Dublin to San Francisco in economy class and I gotta say, the service wasn't too bad. The pre-clearance in Dublin was awesome, made things a lot easier once we touched down in the US. The seating layout on the plane was pretty cool, with 2-4-2 setup, and checking in online was a breeze. The flight attendants were really nice and always ready to help out. The only thing that kind of bothered me was how quickly they did the meal service, like only 2 hours into the 11-hour flight. Plus, they didn't give out free drinks, you had to pay for them, and the bar closed way too soon after take-off. The food was just alright, not the best I've had on long flights. But hey, they did hand out ice cream and a snack right before we landed. The in-flight entertainment wasn't too bad either. On the way back, a kid got sick near us, but the crew handled it really well, even when the dad was freaking out about needing a doctor for his daughter.

    Flying from Birmingham to Belfast

    This was my first time flying with them and it was awesome! Originally supposed to fly from East Midlands but it got cancelled, no biggie. The customer service was amazing and everything went really well. Our flight attendant Karen was super friendly and even gave us some great tips on places to visit and eat. I'll definitely be flying with them again.

    Missed connecting flight, rebooked with disability assistance

    We ended up missing our connecting flight, but Aer Lingus really came through for us by providing disability assistance. The flight attendants even managed to convince another passenger to move so we could have extra room. They were super friendly and accommodating, and the flight actually left on schedule.

    Flight to Cork was good, return flight cancelled

    The flight and booking system to Cork was awesome, but then our return flight got canceled because of bad weather. The next available seats were 3 days later. Aer Lingus said they'd cover our expenses, but we chose to fly to Heathrow the next day instead and get reimbursed for our expenses to get back to our car. We had to keep bugging Aer Lingus for a refund, and even after sending in our receipts 4 times and having 12-15 back-and-forth communications, we only got a partial refund.

    Flight from DC to Dublin

    That was such a nightmare! We thought we were flying with Aer Lingus from DC to Dublin, but somehow got switched to a different airline with no heads up. The plane was so old and dirty, and the entertainment screens didn't even work. The food was awful, the flight attendants weren't friendly, and overall it was just a bad time. We tried reaching out to the airline to complain, but they just sent us generic responses or didn't respond at all.

    Flight from Frankfurt to Dublin

    This airline is a total disaster. I flew from Frankfurt to Dublin and my suitcase magically disappeared. When I got to Dublin, I had to deal with a terrible touchscreen at the service desk to report my lost luggage. Because of all this chaos, I missed my bus to Belfast and had to take a day off work to wait for my suitcase to come back. Finally, when it did arrive, it smelled like rotten fish guts. My stuff was ruined - clothes had to go, shoes were wrecked, and the suitcase itself had to be thrown out right away. And to top it off, the airline wouldn't compensate me for the damage. Instead, they told me to buy a new suitcase and keep the receipt in case they would pay me back. This whole thing was a joke, and I'm never flying with them again.

    Flight delay, missed boarding, disappointing service

    Man, let me tell you, we were so disappointed with our time flying with this airline. Our flight from Barcelona to Birmingham got delayed, which was already not cool. But then, when we finally hustled to make it to the gate with literally only 2 minutes left, they wouldn't even let us on the plane. Are you kidding me? The plane just sat there, empty, for another 10 minutes. It was completely ridiculous and such a huge disappointment. I don't think I'll ever want to fly with them again after this.

    Accumulating useless points

    Man, let me tell you, trying to rack up these points has been such a waste of my time. I don't get it - what's the point of having a loyalty program if you can't even use the points? I've been collecting these things for over a year now, thinking I could finally cash them in for some flight tickets. But nope, when I finally hit the jackpot, the flights I wanted were either booked up or they hiked the prices so high that using the points made zero sense. It's a total scam! If I'd just bought the tickets outright, I would've saved myself so much cash. And get this - turns out those same flights were cheaper if I went through travel agents instead of the airline. How does that even work? Feels like they're out here trying to play us. This loyalty program is a joke. Straight-up waste of everybody's time. Don't even think about getting involved with this mess.

    International flight experience

    My recent international flight experience with the airline was really disappointing. The plane was dirty, the crew wasn't very professional and quite rude to passengers, and the service overall was just not up to par. I couldn't believe how bad the food was and the entertainment system was super outdated. Plus, not having WiFi was a big hassle. The bathrooms were gross too. Overall, I was just really let down by the whole experience.

    Booked flights, wrong way

    Those scam artists messed up my flight bookings and when I called to fix it, they first said to rebook and would refund me. But when I called back, they completely backtracked and wouldn't give me my money back, they even laughed at me on the phone. Total scammers.

    Delayed flights, lack of communication

    My recent experiences with this airline have been really disappointing. Twice now, my flights from Glasgow to Dublin were delayed big time, causing a lot of problems. The first time, my flight was held up for 4.5 hours and the airline didn't really keep us in the loop about what was going on. Plus, only one person in my group got any compensation, which just made things more frustrating. The second time was even worse - an 8-hour delay followed by a last-minute cancellation and a detour to Belfast instead of Dublin. That added up to a 15-hour delay, turning my whole travel experience into a total nightmare. The airline's lack of communication and transparency is just not cool, especially when we're left in the dark about what's happening. The constant changes in departure times made it impossible to make other plans, making things even more chaotic. And to top it off, I'm still waiting on four refunds for the affected passengers from both incidents, showing just how bad their customer service and follow-up is. I get that delays can happen, but the way Aer Lingus/Emmerald Airlines handled things has really left a bad taste in my mouth.

    Flight to Newquay with wife

    My wife and I were so excited for our first trip together in 14 years, but our dog ended up getting sick and we had to cancel. We tried to reschedule, but it was way too pricey. Being on a fixed income, we just couldn't swing it. When we asked for a refund, they flat out said no. So let down by what I thought was a decent airline.

    Flight changed, long wait

    Aer Lingus really made me wait forever at the airport. Their customer service was completely useless and acted like they didn't care at all. I ended up having to cancel my flights because of how incompetent they were. And to top it off, their response to my complaint was basically "tough luck".
