    The service need improvement alot

    My last trip with Barcelo was Bulgaria for a family holiday. The travel agency is quite good and has the great offers that comes under the budget. also they have various themed options, which is attractive as hell
    however, the services might be trouble part

    Horrible Honeymoon

    10/23/21- Check-in - No room upgrade was sought after, simply a shouting of were at 90% capacity by concierge supervisor. The room we were given was a bottom floor along the edge of two pathways. We were up past 1am both nights we stayed in that room due to other hotel guests drunkenly yelling on their way back to their rooms.
    10/23/21- Alcohol in room - After a specific request of no alcohol in the room was written on the reservation, there was a bottle of champagne on the table and ... in the mini fridge. My wife is 3 months pregnant and I choose not to drink! We should not have to justify this decision at all but having it ignored is a very serious matter!
    10/24/21- Restaurant posted times vs QR Code Times - We followed the posted time of 5:30pm on the QR code and when we arrived just before 5:30pm, the Oriental restaurant had a opening time of 6pm and there was nobody outside of the restaurant to tell us otherwise, so we ate tacos upstairs in our dress clothes, soaked in sweat, and frustrated by the misinformation.
    10/25/21- Spoke with Jared in the early morning to express frustrations about the room and the misinformation. I expressed how a simple room change that possibly should've been done at check-in was not sufficient. Later that day, Jared was able to confirm that building 16 was available and we would be moving rooms. He also finally offered a free massage but only if I purchased one!!!
    10/25/21 - After coming back from Xcaret park, we checked in with Jared to get new room keys and proceed to our room. Upon arrival to the new room in Building 16, there were 5 large bottles of alcohol and the minifridge was stocked again with .... I immediately called Diego and told him that there was alcohol in the room, he said that was included in the room and that if I did not want it, that I could give it to someone or they could come remove it. My issue with this is the fact that my request had been ignored once, brought to the management's attention, and then ignored again.
    10/25/21 - Along with the room change, Jared and Diego offered the ability to make reservations. Upon arrival to the restaurant that we set a reservation for, the host said he did not have a reservation and told us to stand aside while he helped others and THEN he would look into the issue. Luckily, Diego came shortly after to tell the host that we were supposed to have a reservation and that there was a mistake. Again, we were left outside of the restaurant, confused and frustrated until something yet again was corrected. This was a reservation "set" or overlooked yet again, by hotel staff.
    10/26/21 - After checking in with Diego he said he was going to give us free massages for the inconvenience. For a common service that is offered at the hotel, I found it baffling that this much had to go wrong prior to being offered that.
    10/28/21 - When eating lunch at the Beach Club Buffett, my (PREGNANT) wife and I were repeatedly called "babies," by our SERVER, ALFREDO CHI, because we chose not to drink alcohol. His statements were "water for the babies" and "pineapple juice for the babies."The sickening part of this is that, on a daily occurrence, my wife and I had to taste test several of our drinks during our stay to make sure that no alcohol was present even after we said no alcohol or asked for "..." drinks. AGAIN THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
    10/29/21 - Diego had set up our spa services for 12pm on Friday after I signed a paper noting that we were to receive two free 50- minute massages for the issues that had happened from 10/23-10/25. Upon arrival at the spa, the staff asked for our room number and then attempted to confirm the appointment was for 1 25 minute massage. Sadly yet again, a service that was setup by hotel staff that was wrong.
    Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this horrible hotel and company!
