Booked with city.travel because it was cheaper, needed quick rebooking after my flight got canceled (had to get home for work). When Pegasus canceled, both sides kept pointing fingers — city.travel sent me to the airline, airline sent me back. Eventually something moved and I got a refund/rebooked, but it was slow and stressful, not great, but usable.
Surprisingly Okay
Honestly, I was ready to be annoyed but it turned out fine — glad I took the risk. I booked two weeks before travel, first impression was sketchy, but customer replies helped and I sorted a small hiccup myself. Happy it worked, really.
Relief after a rocky start
I booked a round trip and at first it felt like a mess — my account got locked and I didn’t see a ticket, so I started to worry. I reached out to support and didn’t hear back for a bit, which was frustrating. I kept pushing, provided payment proof, and even looped in my bank and the booking aggregator. The turning point was when the ticket finally appeared in my inbox and someone on the support side confirmed they’d fixed the glitch. That’s when I felt actually relieved and pretty grateful — it could’ve gone sideways but they sorted it. I started using it again for the return leg with less stress, and overall it ended up working out.
skip City.Travel
Bottom line — don’t book refundable flights with City.Travel, I found out the hard way. I booked an Air Arabia ticket for a family trip and the airline canceled the flight due to airspace restrictions. Air Arabia actually confirmed quickly that they refunded the charge back to my card, which was the weirdly positive part. Problem is City.Travel never processed or even replied to my emails for weeks. No response, no refund, just radio silence. It messed up our schedules. Feels like being ignored, borderline fraudulent, so I’ve started a chargeback with my bank and Visa. Don’t waste your time.
Worked out in the end
Overall, I'd recommend them — with a heads-up. We bought tickets from Russia to Brazil months ago. First impression was that everything was fine. Then their system swapped my wife's first and last name. One connecting flight was canceled too. They ignored our messages for about five months, despite calls and forms. We had to get the airline involved and pay to fix the name. Not perfect, but the flights worked out.
International flight ticket purchase
I just bought some international flight tickets from this company and man, let me tell you, it was a mess. They got my name all mixed up in their system, so that caused a lot of confusion and hassle. And then to top it off, one of my connecting flights was straight up canceled out of the blue, making things even more complicated. I tried to get in touch with them through their website and by phone, but I got nothing back for like five whole months. I had to go straight to the airline to fix everything, and it ended up costing me extra to sort out the name swap situation. Overall, it was a real letdown and I wouldn't recommend using this company again.
Trip booked but didn't go well
I planned a trip through them and let me tell you, it was a complete disaster. Everything went wrong from the very beginning. The booking process was a mess and the customer service was absolutely useless. The prices seemed too high for what the trip offered. And as the cherry on top, they couldn't even get my travel documents to me on time. To sum it all up, it was a terrible experience and I wouldn't suggest using their services to anyone.
