Halfway through the second night I caught myself actually stretching without wincing — needed that after lugging boxes all week. The bed is properly plush, linens feel crisp, and the bathroom stuff (that Diptyque-ish scent) makes mornings less grim. Room was roomy, modern, small quirks like a tiny, crowded reception and a slightly creaky chair. Housekeeping kept things tidy — worth it most nights.
A quiet, memorable night
Booked a room to pop the question and the place made it easy. Staff were calm and helpful, and they quietly helped set up the little surprise in our suite. The room felt warm and deliberate — candles, soft lighting, the kind of setup that doesn't scream staged. Room service was prompt and friendly. Even the doorman had a smile and made check-in smooth. We had a couple of drinks at the bar; they were solid. I've had worse luck planning surprises elsewhere, so this felt like a relief. Big thanks to Walter and A.J. for being flexible and discreet; I appreciated that.
Nice place, messy housekeeping
staff kept giving mixed answers about whether they'd tidy the bed daily; one said no, later I was told they'd make the bed but change sheets only every few days. I just wanted the bed tidied, not sheets swapped. I was finally satisfied when Asif, the manager, came over, fixed it and explained the policy. Glad he sorted it — others promised to follow up and didn't.
Quiet New Year’s comfort
the mattress had a noticeable dip on my side, gave me a sore back the first night (wife swapped sides, problem solved). Suggest they rotate mattresses more often, otherwise solid stay.
Cold showers and slow fixes
I booked C2704 at C Block for five nights and yeah, it was a bit of a saga. Power cut several times, and one night I had no hot water for over five hours — stood there debating whether cold showers build character. I told the host and got the standard no-refund line, which felt cheap. Repairs were slow; the service team took ages to respond. Oddly, the Wi-Fi held up and the street outside was surprisingly lively, so not all bad. I've had quicker fixes at other places, so won't risk this one again unless they sort the basics and maybe improve communication soon too.
