    Family taxi ride from Sydney Airport

    My experience with Rideways was really frustrating. So, I had booked a taxi through another website, but Rideways was the one actually in charge of the service. When we got to Sydney Airport, there was no car or driver waiting for us, even though we had gotten a confirmation email and text. I had to call the provider, and they told me that they couldn't find a driver for us. It was a stressful situation, especially with two tired little kids with us.

    I just wanted to share my recent experience using a transfer service during my trip to Europe. I have to say, I was really impressed by how efficient and professional the drivers were. Whether we were in Rome, Santorini, or Athens, every transfer went smoothly. Not only were the drivers on time, but they also chatted with us and gave us great tips about the cities we were exploring. And can we talk about the cars? They were all top-of-the-line, mostly Mercedes, and super clean. Overall, I was blown away by the service and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend!

    Private taxi booking from Rome Fiumicino airport

    My private taxi experience from Rome Fiumicino airport was a complete letdown. We shelled out the cash ahead of time for a regular private taxi to help us out with our late arrival, but our driver showed up a whole hour behind schedule. And to make matters worse, he then sprung it on us that we had to wait even longer because he had to pick up another passenger. Uh, excuse me, we paid for a private ride, not some group shuttle service. As if that wasn't bad enough, the driver started acting all sketchy and shady, trying to intimidate us since we were two gals in a totally unfamiliar place. It wasn't until my partner threatened to get the police involved that he finally caved and took us where we needed to go. All in all, it was a super stressful and uncomfortable ordeal that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

    Booked a ride in Santiago, no driver showed up

    I scheduled a ride in Santiago using this service, but unfortunately, the driver never showed up at the pick-up spot. I tried reaching out for help via text and email, but didn't get any response then or now. It was frustrating, so I ended up just taking a regular taxi which ended up costing more than I budgeted. Eventually, I had to dispute the charge with PayPal to get it sorted out. Safety and reliability should be top priorities when it comes to transportation services in today's world. It might be a good idea to go with a properly licensed service approved by the airport or a well-known ride-sharing service for peace of mind.

    China trip disaster

    My family and I went to China in July. We kept getting emails saying everything was good to go, but when we finally arrived in Shenzhen, there was nobody there to pick us up! Picture being exhausted from a 15-hour flight, with two kids, in a foreign country, and no one to assist you. We attempted to call and email, but nobody responded. And even after we returned home, no one bothered to reply to my messages. It seemed like they just took our money and vanished!

    Airport transfer, 3 people, 3 suitcases

    My recent airport transfer was such a letdown. The driver didn't have a nameboard to help us find him easily, he just messaged me on WhatsApp. And to top it off, the car we booked was too tiny for all of us and our luggage. The driver was no help at all and actually blamed us for having too many bags. He wouldn't let us put any luggage on the car seats, so we were stuck at the airport super late at night. And as if that wasn't bad enough, we couldn't even get a hold of a manager or anyone from the company to help us out.

    Flight delay causing missed connection

    This service is total BS. When our flight got delayed to London and we couldn't make our next flight to Edinburgh, there was zero chance to contact anybody from this company. Finally got the driver's phone number and called immediately to explain but got a rude and unhelpful response. The customer service and empathy here is terrible. It's obvious this service is just a scam, so stay away from it, everyone.

    Transfer from CDG to ORY

    I recently used a transfer service to get my parents from CDG to ORY in Paris. The whole thing went really smoothly and was super efficient, all thanks to how easy it was to book the service.     Taxi trip booked through third-party platform

    So I had this recent taxi ride that I booked through some third-party app, and man, it was a huge letdown. I checked my credit card bill and saw a charge from this company called Rideways Manchester for a trip I took in Antalya, Turkey. Turns out Rideways is linked to Booking.com, which I've used before. But let me tell you, the actual trip was anything but great. The driver was driving like a maniac, making the whole ride super scary. And when I looked up the taxi company, "Bizim Transfer," all I found were a bunch of bad reviews. It's got me thinking about the kind of companies Booking.com is teaming up with.

    Reservation time change confirmation

    I had a really frustrating experience with a transportation booking service. I had to change my reservation time more than a week before my original booking. They confirmed that the change was done, but then I got an email and a text with the old time. I tried to follow up with four emails, but they never responded. The local transportation company never made the change either. It was really disappointing to deal with such poor communication and follow-through. It just caused a lot of stress and inconvenience.

    Entrance to Tenerife South airport - La Palmita transportation

    My recent transfer with La Palmita transportation didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. It all started with some confusion about which company was supposed to pick me up - Rideways or Booking.com Taxis. When I arrived at Tenerife South airport, I spent about ten minutes wandering around trying to find the person who was supposed to drive me. They didn't have a clear sign with my name, just a list of names, which made it hard to figure out if they were for me. And even though I gave them the full address of my apartment in Playa de las Americas, there was still some unnecessary back and forth about where exactly it was. When I finally got dropped off, I had to figure out the last 100 yards on my own because the driver just said "it's around here somewhere." Overall, La Palmita's service wasn't great, and it left me feeling frustrated and inconvenienced.

    Late driver incident

    I had a really bad experience with the service from this company’s driver. He showed up a whole 20 minutes late after dispatch had to keep calling him. And get this, he was hanging out at a coffee shop instead of where he was supposed to be with the other drivers - not cool. When I called him out on being late, he got all defensive and just up and left us high and dry at the airport. They said they'd call back with a solution, but surprise surprise, I never heard from them. I ended up asking for a full refund because the service was just so awful. Not being able to get a response to my emails or talk to a real person on the phone to sort things out was beyond frustrating.

    Ride booking with poor communication

    I just booked a ride with this service and I gotta say, I'm really disappointed with how things are going. I never got a confirmation email or text after booking, even though I already paid.     Last-minute flight diversion

    The customer service at this company is absolutely terrible. I needed to switch my pick-up time because my flight got redirected, and even though I let them know an hour and a half ahead of time, they still didn't come at the new time. This made me wait at the airport for three hours, wasting valuable time on my trip. And on top of that, I didn't even get a refund for the missed service, which is just plain wrong and shows a lack of common decency. I won't be using this service again and I recommend others stay away from this unreliable company.

    Van repairs at Rideaways

    I went to Rideaways recently to get my van fixed because the air conditioning compressor was acting up. Someone told me to go there because of the warranty, but honestly, I wasn't too happy with how things turned out. I had to go back twice, and the problem still isn't fixed. The last time I was there, I even shelled out over $100 for a diagnostic test, but it didn't help. They think it might be a loose wire, fuse, or relay causing the problem, but they couldn't find it. It's frustrating because I rarely use the van and it hasn't racked up too many miles since 2011.
