Saw it on Instagram, a friend tipped me — paid online and fretted about age, they accepted me, honestly relieved and pretty thrilled.
Right when I needed it
Needed a car after my car died, of course. Super easy booking, felt solid to drive, relieved, will return.
Shut counter, saved by the car
I flew in late and needed a car for a long drive the next morning. The pickup desk said open at 8pm but was closed when I got there — not great. I had to grab a last-minute hotel (they refused a refund). Morning pickup was fine and the car was clean, so a bit relieved but annoyed.
Skeptic turned casual fan
Booked this with fingers crossed — I'd been burned by other companies before, so I was wary. Flight got overbooked and I had to reroute last minute. After a day of back-and-forth with America Car Rental and no solution, I demanded a refund. They didn’t return it within weeks, so I finally filed a chargeback with my credit card. That’s actually when I relaxed a little — the card company jumped on it, surprisingly fast, gave me next steps and a timeline. Still, not great service overall.

I recently booked a car rental online for a trip and man, it was a disaster. I showed up at the rental place after hours because my flight got delayed, only to be told they had no cars for me during my whole booking. They wouldn't give me a refund and just told me to talk to the website where I made the booking. It was so annoying and disappointing. I would definitely suggest avoiding this rental company.

Reservation for Seat Ibiza at Alghero airport
I reserved a Seat Ibiza online for my trip to Alghero airport, but when I got there, they tried to give me a Jeep instead and pushed me to buy extra insurance that I didn't need. When my credit card didn't go through, the employee wasn't helpful and wouldn't offer any other options for the deposit. So we just left the airport and found a better rental place in the city.
