    Finally confirmed

    Kiwi told me to check with the airline, the airline said they'd processed the cancel and to check with Kiwi, rinse and repeat. When the airline finally confirmed they had a refund from Kiwi, I felt okay, not thrilled, just glad it wasn't lost. Still, Kiwi couldn't tell me when the money would hit my account, which is annoying — could be weeks, could be months. Tip: push both sides and save screenshots.

    Good deal, messy trip

    I won't book through Kiwi.com again - bummer, because I love a good deal. I travel a lot for work and weekends and usually rely on aggregators, so I tried them because the price looked good. The booking itself was straightforward, the confirmation came through, and my flights technically happened, but the arrival airport on my first leg was changed without clear notice. That forced me into a last-minute taxi to the right airport (ended up costing about €180) and I couldn't grab my checked bag in time. Now I'm paying to ship the suitcase back to Italy and Kiwi refuses to cover it. So yeah, it worked in the narrow sense - I got where I needed - but the support and responsibility were seriously lacking.

    I booked a complicated, multi-leg golf trip by phone and told the agent up front I needed one checked suitcase plus an extra golf bag. They said to pay in full to lock the flights and that adding baggage afterward wouldn't be a problem. After I paid for a nonrefundable itinerary I got an email saying the golf bag couldn't be added — that was the panic moment. I spent days on hold, sent a few messages, was brushed off a couple times, and started looking at other carriers; I’ve had smoother experiences elsewhere. The turning point was when a senior rep finally picked up, checked the routing properly and confirmed they could make a note and add the bag for a fee. It wasn’t free, but when I saw the booking updated and the confirmation arrive I knew it would work. Not perfect — customer service could be quicker — but in the end the trip stayed on and the clubs are coming with me.

    Morning cancellations and a week of paperwork

    two flights were cancelled. No explanation in the app, just the fact. I immediately hopped onto the airline’s site and bought replacement seats there, because I needed to get moving. That part actually worked out — the trip itself wasn't ruined, so I'm glad about that, really.
    Then came the back-and-forth with Kiwi. I expected a straightforward refund since they cancelled the flights. Instead they asked for screenshots, proof of new tickets, and kept repeating requests. I checked my spam folder eventually and found messages saying they were refunding only seating fees, not the flights. After seven days of messaging, Kiwi claimed they weren’t responsible for the ticket refunds. That was aggravating and felt slow and vague — and yes, my pre-booking worry about support was unfortunately confirmed, not resolved.
    Compared to other companies I've used, where customer service actually answers clearly, this felt mediocre. Still, practical outcome: I’m thankful my trip went ahead, and I didn't lose travel days, but I lost time on the admin. If you’re after low fares and can handle the paperwork if something goes wrong, fine. If you want dependable service, look elsewhere.
