This company will pull you in with their great prices – too good to be true!
And YES, they ARE too good to be true, as they nickel and dime you through the whole process.
We had signed up for the Italy package at $499 per person, including round trip air fare, a rental car, 6 nights in a Castle in Tuscany. First change was an additional $200 to fly from the West Coast, (understandable) but on top of that there were some unexplained other charges making it much higher.
Then added insurance cost for the car. So now we were at $2,300+ total for 2 people.
Of course you are flying in the cheapest seats on the airline, and it will cost you a ton to upgrade, and no you can not use your miles to do so, as the airline is not involved with this company.
The car is very tiny, so if you have more than two pieces of luggage, it won’t fit, and you will have to pay more for a larger car. Also please note, you might want to be sure to have someone to help you navigate the routes.
If you want to add dates to the front or back end of the tour, plan at least another thousand dollars.
The Castle was lovely, although in the fine print, before you check out they will charge you 20 Eu per day for HEAT, (Note: Castles are very cold) plus 50 Eu for cleaning (Note, the cleaning is only at the end when you leave, there are no services available for cleaning during your stay) Plus 2 Eu per person, per day... all these fees are payable only by cash at the end when you check out. Note that they will only give you one or two rolls of toilet paper for the week, if you want more, you have purchase it. There is one dish towel provided, no napkins or paper towels – go to town and buy your own. If you need to do laundry, they do offer the use of a washing machine at 5 Eu per load, and no dryer.
The only WiFi you get is available in the office, and you will need to use it during their limited hours.
The couch and chairs to use in the office are covered with thick dust and debris, so be careful what you wear in the office, if you choose to sit down.
Do be sure to walk around the castle and see all there is to see. But they will not offer a tour or history about the castle, it would have been interesting to see more of the castle than the exterior, our room, and the office.
If you take your car to the hotel in Rome, 1. you will have to be very brave to handle the traffic and roads – Yikes! 2. Count on expensive parking prices at the hotel. We chose to return the car to the airport and get a ride to the hotel. You will NOT be given a credit for turning in the car early, and the cost of a car to take you from the airport car rental area to the hotel will be about 80 Eu.
The hotel is on the outskirts of Rome, though it is nice – the room was extremely small! You will need to take a bus or a taxi to get to any of the sites you are hoping to see.(Approximately 20 to 30 Eu per trip each way)
In short, no refunds if you leave the Castle early or turn in the car early, and a lot of extra fees thrown in by the individual vendors.
Personally, I would never use nor recommend Great Value Vacations to anyone. It does NOT offer Great Value to anything. You are better off using a travel agent.Purchased Premium Home Essentials from Great Value – Outstanding Service!

Ireland vacation package
The trip was pretty good, but let me tell you, there were a couple of things that rubbed me the wrong way. First off, the places they said we'd be staying in Sligo were actually in Enniscrone, not Sligo like they promised. And then in Dublin, the accommodations were in Swords, not even in Dublin proper. I mean, I know it might sound like no big deal, but it really affected the whole vibe of the trip. It felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on us. It would have been nice to know about these mix-ups before we got there.
Panama vacation experience
My Panama vacation was a real rollercoaster. The hotel I stayed in was top-notch, with an amazing breakfast. Getting around for tours and the airport was super easy, which made the whole trip a breeze. But man, the choices for eating in the hotel were kinda lacking. And getting back to the US through the Panama airport was a bit of a letdown. Even with these little bumps, the tours I went on were incredible. The guides really knew their stuff and made my trip so much richer. Unfortunately, the airport was a hot mess, with not enough water or bathrooms, and strict rules that made waiting for my delayed flight a real headache.
Solo traveler package
The booking process was so easy and I really liked all the helpful info from the company. I'm the type who likes to plan my own trips, so this was a good fit for me. And the best part was there wasn't a crazy fee for solo travelers! But there were a couple things that could have been better. First off, I didn't know the package came with "basic economy" flights, so I had to pay more to avoid getting stuck in a middle seat. And I wasn't thrilled with the limited hotel options. The places to stay were okay, but not near the main sights, so I had to rely on public transportation a lot. Despite these little annoyances, I did have fun using public transportation to explore the city, even though I did get lost a few times because things were far apart. Overall, I'd think about booking with this company again down the road.
Trip to Ireland
Great Value Vacations really made planning our trip to Ireland super easy. The package we booked was affordable and had everything we needed for a chill vacation. From checking in for our flight to dropping off the rental car, everything was perfectly organized. The places we stayed were comfy, and the activities on our itinerary were fun. All in all, we were really happy with how everything turned out.
St Patrick's Day vacation
My St Patrick's Day trip with Great Value Vacations was one for the books. The schedule was on point, but still gave us room to squeeze in extra stops and fun surprises. We got to watch the St Patrick's Day parade, explore castles, kiss the Blarney stone, and feast at a Medieval banquet. Every minute was a thrill and brought so much happiness. It was seriously the best trip ever, and I'm already thinking about my next one with this awesome company.
Amazing trip
Oh my gosh, my trip was amazing! The cost was super affordable and we got to see all these incredible sites for just $99 extra. The hotels were really nice and in great locations. The flights were pretty good, except for one connection that was really tight! If our next flight hadn't been delayed, we would have totally missed it! The staff was really quick and helpful, which was awesome. The only rough parts were driving on the left side of the road (so stressful!) and the extra costs for rental car insurance and an automatic upgrade. We had to skip a city at the end because of an early flight, but overall, it was such a great trip for such a good price!
European vacation package
The hotels in Madrid were decent, but the one in Barcelona just didn't measure up. They were both far from the city center, which was a pain. It was frustrating to have to organize and book tours and transport on our own when we thought we'd get more help. And to top it off, we found out we shelled out $300 extra for the same trip our friends booked at the same time. We tried reaching out to customer service to sort it out, but they never got back to us like they said they would.
Europe vacation package
Our Europe vacation package experience was pretty good overall. We really loved Hotel Linder in Prague, it was definitely a standout. But one thing they could improve on is giving customers more flight time options. Our 6am departure meant we had to leave the hotel super early. We asked about changing our flight, but it was expensive. Also, even though the hotels were close to public transportation, they were far from the city center which made travel times longer than we thought. Giving customers different price options for accommodations closer to the city center might make the experience even better.
Vacation Package
I just booked this vacation package and I gotta say, it was pretty decent. The place we stayed at was nice and getting around was a breeze. But man, I was kind of bummed about the lack of veggie/vegan food options at the hotel. It would've been cool to have more choices on the menu for folks with different dietary needs like me. On the bright side, the customer service team was awesome! They really took their time helping me out with all my questions and worries before we even left on our trip.
Affordable vacation package to Ireland
I just got back from a trip to Ireland that I booked through Great Value Vacations, and let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect since the price was so good, but everything about the trip was top-notch. The hotels we stayed in were really nice, and I loved that we had the option to upgrade for tours and a rental car with an automatic transmission.
One thing to keep in mind though is to check the itinerary carefully before you go. We had one day where an attraction was pretty far from our hotel, so we had to make some adjustments. But overall, the trip was a great deal. It definitely beat the cost of a weekend in NYC.
I would definitely recommend Great Value Vacations if you're looking for an affordable and fun travel experience.Amazing London & Paris Trip
The trip I booked for my niece to London and Paris was absolutely amazing! We got a fantastic deal for spring break that included airfare, hotels, and a Chunnel pass. The flights were right on schedule and went smoothly. The hotels were in great locations near metro stations, which made it super convenient for us to get around and see the sights. I was even able to change our Chunnel times by reaching out to Eurostar. All in all, our trip was fantastic and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out.
Italy trip
My trip to Italy was really amazing! The hotels were great, but they were kind of tucked away in tricky spots. I actually had to guide the cab driver to the hotel in Florence because of all the one-way streets. Because I travel a lot, I was able to figure it out, but someone who's new to traveling might have a hard time.
50th Birthday Getaway to Ireland
My trip to Ireland for my 50th birthday was amazing, all thanks to the vacation package I booked. Everything from booking the trip to getting my hotel rooms, car rentals, and plane tickets sorted was super easy and stress-free. I was able to relax and enjoy my vacation without any issues, everything went smoothly. I was really impressed with how well organized and efficient the company was. I will definitely be using their services again for my next vacation.
Ireland Trip
Our trip to Ireland was a bit of a rollercoaster. We had a good time overall, but our stay at the Celtic Ross hotel in Cork left a lot to be desired. The location was out in the boonies, way far from any good restaurants, so we were pretty much stuck eating at the hotel both nights. If it had been closer to Cork city like we were told, things would have been a lot better. On the flip side, we absolutely loved our time in Kilkenny and wished we had an extra day there. The hotel was awesome, right in the middle of everything we wanted to do. The hotel in Dublin was pretty decent too, with good transportation options. Our favorite parts of the trip were Kilkenny and Ennis, with amazing hotels, great service, and tasty food. And of course, the highlight of the whole trip was definitely the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher.
Vacation in Panama
My family and I just got back from a trip to Panama that we booked through this company, and let me tell you, it was a great experience! We had a bit of trouble sorting out our flights and needed some help. Luckily, we were able to talk to a real person who was super helpful and made everything easy for us. Panama itself was a pleasant surprise, our hotel was a bit outside of the city but right on the beach with plenty of pools to relax by. The tours that were organized through the hotel were amazing and let us see the beauty of this up-and-coming spot. Overall, we had a fantastic time with this company and would definitely recommend them for your next vacation.
Vacation booking experience
My vacation booking experience with them was great! It was super easy and straight forward. All the vouchers for the hotel, flight, car, and activities were accepted without any issues. I really liked that I could plan activities around my schedule and still have some chill time. The attractions included in the package were a nice bonus too.
Best trip customization and vacation services
It was an overwhelming experience with great value vacations. It was their services, extremely helping customer care and staff and exciting tour packages customized to provide a travel plan I wished for.
We been to Germany. Me and my friends, it was really inexpensive when I compared the package to other existing and so called top vacation providers.
