always screenshot prices and ask for explanations up front. I usually book for friends from my account, so transparency matters. Would I use them again? Probably, but cautiously, and only after I pin down the exact fees.
airline ticket
Beware. I was charged additional fees after my booking they refuse to take off and say is part of the fee. I have 2 separate charges on my bank account from Cheapoair. I called and they were no help. There is $40 discrepancy from my final ticket price and the charges taken out of my bank account. I WOULD NOT use them. It's a time sucker and a headache.
Cup of coffee, then relief
the agent first quoted $1,193, then suddenly said a non-terrible layover option would be $1,289 — and of course I’d told him upfront I didn’t want marathon layovers. I booked because I trusted the person on the line, and later saw the exact same itinerary for $1,193 in my account. Felt crappy. After a few tense emails and one awkward phone call where they kept asking why I confirmed the booking (well, I believed them…), someone on support actually dug in, admitted the mistake and refunded that $100. Not instantaneous, not smooth, but the refund and a real apology is the moment I breathed out. I still use this account to buy tickets for friends and family — it’s convenient, fast, and most of the time it works without drama. So yeah, not perfect, service can be messy, price errors happen, but in the end they made it right enough for me to keep booking.
Stranded then sorted
Sitting on a gate bench in Lagos, my flight got axed just hours before takeoff. The rep tried to push a rebook three days out—yeah right, I wasn't staying. I had to book another carrier myself to get home. Annoying, but at least I made it back. Other airlines sometimes worse.

I called to cancel and they mentioned a $100 cancellation fee; I was skeptical, but after a tussle they reissued my ticket, so okay-ish.
