it lays out flights clearly, shows cheaper days, and the date-flex feature actually saved me money. Recommendations for alternate routes were surprisingly useful (I wouldn't have thought of them). Not perfect — some filters are clunky and a couple pages loaded slowly — but overall it's straightforward and reliable, and my doubts mostly disappeared after I booked.
Handled delays better than I thought
Halfway through my summer trip I noticed Cheapoair actually handled the mess with KLM delays better than I expected. The booking site is straightforward, not flashy, and I found fares quickly — they do seem to surface the cheaper options more often than other sites I've used. Customer service stepped in fast in 2023, replied clearly and helped rebook without fuss, which was a pleasant surprise. On the flip side their car rentals and hotel bundles felt undercooked, clunky interfaces and mixed results. I'd like an AI assistant that watches prices and pings me when something fits — that would help trip planning across multiple stops with family. Overall reliable for flights, needs polish elsewhere.
Flexibility that wasn't there
don't rely on "flexible" unless you confirm the exact policy, and keep backups. Also, expect long wait times on calls.
When it clicked
I was at the gate, the app showed my boarding pass and connection details without drama, everything scanned fine and my connection worked. That small, practical confirmation felt more important than any promo copy. The mobile app is useful for managing bookings on the go. Downsides are the slow refund process and occasional long waits for support, but for budget leisure travel it’s a sensible trade-off. I’ll keep using them for non-urgent plans.
Forum find that actually worked
I spotted CheapOair from a link a friend pasted in a chat and I clicked, mostly out of curiosity. Was pretty skeptical at first — the fare looked almost too low, so I braced for hidden fees or a mess. Booking itself was straightforward, not flashy, just done. The moment I knew I was satisfied was when I opened the itinerary and saw a quicker route than I expected, only one short layover and no surprise connections. I still double-checked everything, did a little back-and-forth, but it matched up. Emails were a bit generic and I had to check arrival times twice, but overall it delivered on price and convenience. I’ll probably use it again, cautiously.
Almost Duped, But Learned Fast
don’t trust the headline price, check baggage rules and screenshots before you pay. Would I recommend them? Only if you know what you’re getting into and take a few extra steps first.
Bag-fee bait and switch
I booked a cheap-looking fare and thought, nice, savings — until airport check-in. Suddenly I’m fumbling with carry-ons, they tell me my “ticket” didn’t include luggage and the fee practically doubled what I budgeted. Felt like they sold me a seat and left out the rest. At first I was pretty annoyed, because I’ve used other sites that at least show the baggage rules up front. But after the initial rant and some awkward timeout at the counter, I learned a few things: add baggage online early next time (way cheaper), and screenshots of the booking helped when I pushed support. Not saying it was smooth, but the flight itself was fine and I didn’t want to waste the trip. So yeah, sketchy listing and a rude surprise, but manageable if you pay attention and complain. Learned my lesson the hard way, won’t be blind-booking like that again.
Refund limbo and phone-tag
the process felt more like passing a hot potato than helping a customer. That said, they eventually followed up and the refund did come through after the long wait (relief!). So, skeptical and annoyed at first, ended up relieved — still, could be way more human and faster.
Flight booking to Arlington and DC with price increase and inconvenient flight schedule.
I first tried booking my flight online, but it didn't work out. So, I ended up having to call customer service for help. Not only did the price go up, but I had to settle for a flight time further away from what I wanted. It was really frustrating, especially since I was already dealing with some health problems. However, I have to give credit to the guy I talked to on the phone - he was helpful and tried his best to help me out.
Flight assistance didn't help at all
So, we shelled out for this flight assistance service, right? And when we arrived, the lady at check-in was seriously grumpy and not at all helpful. She was handling a bunch of folks who had missed their flights and she just seemed annoyed and overwhelmed. I mean, come on, we paid for assistance and we left without any information. That's not cool, man.
Expired Visa Conflict
A rep got in touch with me about my upcoming trip to Thailand and the issue of my expired visa overlapping with my return flight. They were nice and offered to find other return flight options, but they were too expensive and not within my budget.
Airline ticket
As a customer, I was really let down by the whole thing that went down with my recent purchase. I put in a discount code when I was checking out, thinking I'd get $10 off, but only $1 got taken off my bill. It was definitely frustrating and kinda confusing, 'cause I was counting on that discount. And then, things got even worse - right after I used the discount code, I got a message saying my fee went up by another $20 out of nowhere. That unexpected jump in price made me feel like I got played, and I was super unhappy with how everything went down.
Slow website but nice people
I just called to book my trip and the two people I spoke with were really friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions and made sure I got the best deal. However, the website was incredibly slow when it came to processing everything. It was such a pain that I ended up having to make two long phone calls just to book my trip. But hey, at least the people were awesome!
Last minute reservation
Booking was so easy and fast, but I really wish there was a way for me to upgrade my seat. I'm just glad I was able to make a last-minute reservation.
Got ticket quickly
I got my ticket really quickly and they sent me all the info I needed right away. It was so easy and convenient, I didn't have to wait at all.
Vacation bookings
I use this travel booking site a lot, and I gotta say, it's the best bang for my buck. I've looked at other sites, but CheapOair consistently wins. I've planned multiple vacations through them and never had any problems. I'm so happy with their service that I signed up for their credit card. The site is super easy to use, so you can easily find where you wanna go.
Connect flights, cheaper rates, user-friendly interface
I just bought a flight with connecting flights using this service and I was pleasantly surprised by how cheap it was and how easy it was to combine the flights. The app was super easy to use, making it a breeze to navigate and book my flights. I really liked how smooth everything went from beginning to end.
My reservation to leave one place and arrive the next day.
I was originally planning for a last-minute trip today, but now it got moved to tomorrow, and that's just not going to work for me. I really need to cancel as soon as possible.
Flight booking assistance
Recently, I needed some help with canceling a trip and getting a new ticket booked. Let me tell you, the staff I dealt with was absolutely fantastic. Ciro, Meachum, and Steph were super professional, polite, and really paid attention to my needs. They made everything so easy and stress-free. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone looking for help with booking flights.
Recent airfare bookings
I've been using this online platform to book my flights lately and so far, I've been pretty happy with it. It's been really easy to book my tickets and I haven't run into any problems so far. Each time I've made a booking, everything has gone smoothly without any issues.
