Overall pretty satisfied — it’s solid enough. I took it out two weekends after delivery; first impression was easy setup and good glide. Not perfect (small valve fuss) but works.
Surprisingly solid
Love them — honestly worth it. I got two Barracuda SUPs for weekend mornings and they’ve been awesome. One paddle wouldn’t lock at first, kinda annoying, but customer service shipped a replacement mid-section fast. Packaging and delivery were next-day, which surprised me. Took them out yesterday and both felt solid, stable, and fun to use.
Random fin saga
solid and surprisingly comfy. On my first outing the removable fin was gone — just slipped off somewhere. I called customer service, wrote them an email like they asked, then got the blunt answer: no spare parts, try eBay. Kind of a facepalm. I ended up sourcing a fin online, slotted it in, paddled out, and right then — smooth glide, no drama — I was oddly relieved and pretty happy it all worked out.
Close call, solid support
super stable and the kayak kit converts easily, nice touch. Only gripe is the checkout UI could warn you about typos — otherwise pretty happy, relieved really.
Quick delivery, needs a little TLC
smudged lettering, messy glue spots and a tiny bubble, and the fin was missing when I opened it. I emailed straight away and they said they'd send a replacement fin, which I appreciate, though they didn't say much about the cosmetic stuff even after I sent photos. No phone number either, so it's a bit slow back-and-forth by email. I'll give them time to sort the fin and hope they notice the board issues too — fingers crossed. Tip for others: take pictures as soon as you unpack and ask for a phone option if you want faster fixes. Still thankful it arrived intact overall.
Float claim failed
Overall, I'd say this was a mixed bag — be careful with the waterproof case. I first saw the gear on Instagram after a buddy recommended the Barracuda SUP, so I went for it. The board arrived with the print pretty smeared in spots; annoying, but they gave me a 50% refund which I appreciated, so that part was okay. A few weeks later, out on the water, my phone slipped out of the so‑called floating waterproof case. The case looks like it should float, but it doesn't, and I lost the phone. When I raised it, Jay sent a very formal, legal-sounding reply and some pictures saying the design never implied flotation — felt like a brush-off. Glad they sorted the print refund, but honestly disappointed with how they handled the phone issue. Heads up if you're planning to rely on that case to keep your phone afloat.
