I first saw this on a friend’s feed and told my sister about it, so I was already hyped — until the shipping box never showed. I waited three weeks, then called and got told the kit isn’t shipped to Puerto Rico, which confused me because someone I know did get one here. No follow-up after they told me to wait, so I decided to pack the machine myself and arrange a safe return. The moment I felt okay about the whole thing was when they finally confirmed they’d accept it and not charge me for damage — still annoying, but it’s handled.
Heavy lift, light help
I didn’t think it would be so awkward asking for help. My AirFryer Pro weighed a ton — honestly I couldn’t lift it alone — and when I reached out they just kept saying I had to send it in. I get that repairs have rules, but there was zero flexibility or an offer to pick up. I’ve used their stuff for years, so it stung more than it should. The reps repeated the same line like a script and it felt like I was talking to a robot. Wish they had a home pickup or local drop-off option; that would’ve solved it.
Nice bread, annoying paddle hole
even crumb, decent crust, no drama there, so I’m kind of relieved it bakes reliably. I did contact support and haven’t heard back yet, which is a bummer. So overall: happy the machine makes good bread, disappointed the collapsible paddle claim is nonsense. I’ll probably keep it but I’m mildy annoyed and would’ve expected better.
Pleased I pushed, service was slow
I'm actually kind of relieved it wasn't worse, but the customer service trail was messy and slow. I first saw the Joule on a cooking forum and tipped a buddy to get one — it’s compact and smart. Bought the 1100W Joule 4.5 years ago and used it maybe half a dozen times a year. Then one day it threw an "irreparably failed" error. Breville had bought Joule and their rep offered a discount on a new unit (around 30%), which was better than nothing but not generous given the limited uses. I asked for more, they said a supervisor would review it, opened a ticket, then radio silence for weeks, followed by an "any other questions?" message. So, mixed feelings — frustrated by the follow-up and pace, but grateful they at least offered something. Won't stop me recommending it, just be ready to push on service.

Overall, not impressed but it’s not worthless. I reported a problem through the app and then waited. A few weeks later they emailed asking if I still needed help. When I answered, I had to explain the whole thing again, even though I’d written a detailed report the first time. Support sent basic troubleshooting steps I’d already done. After that they said there was nothing to be done and closed the case without fixing the issue. On the plus side they sent a 30% discount code, which is something, I guess. I’ve had faster, clearer help from other companies. Product itself mostly works; service needs work.
