As someone who likes to shop on Catawiki a lot, I've been noticing a troubling trend lately. It seems like there are more and more replica and reproduction items being sold on there. The auction process itself is usually pretty smooth and quick, but I think it's important for us buyers to be on the lookout for these fake listings. I've heard about cases where things that look like they're original or vintage are actually just new "fantasy" items trying to pass themselves off as the real deal. This could be a big problem for buyers who end up unknowingly buying these fakes. I really think Catawiki should do more to stop these misleading listings and make sure buyers know for sure whether they're getting the real thing or not.
Sports memorabilia purchase
I gotta say, as someone who spends a lot of time on auction sites, Catawiki really stands out with their awesome selection of sports memorabilia. They've got stuff that would make any collector or superfan happy. Plus, the fact that a lot of the items come with certificates of authenticity is a nice touch - it gives you peace of mind knowing you're getting the real deal. But, there's always room for improvement, right? It would be great if they were more upfront about any extra costs, like VAT and shipping fees. If they showed you the total cost before you place a bid, it would make things a lot easier and prevent any surprises when it's time to check out. Just a thought!

I've been on the hunt for this vintage watch for like two years now, and I finally stumbled upon it over on Catawiki. Never ever catawiki, they are writting transaction is safe, after this, I did not receive an item, they wrote, they payed with no control and they are not responsible, so they take responsibility, or stilling a money, because part is going to them, even item never show up.

I just bought this really cool vintage artwork on Catawiki and I gotta say, it got here super fast! Artwork purchase
This whole purchase was super easy, no issues at all. The info they gave me was really clear, so I felt totally confident the whole time. I had a question for the artist, and they got back to me right away, which I thought was awesome. My order showed up right on schedule, all wrapped up nice and even came with a certificate which was a nice surprise. The art itself is just amazing, I'm so thrilled with it. Thanks Catawiki, you've definitely gained a loyal customer with this one.
Painting purchase
I just bought something on this online auction site and it turned out to be a really smooth process. When I won the auction for a painting, the seller got in touch with me right away, keeping me updated and making sure everything went smoothly. The next day, I got the tracking details and a few days later, the painting was delivered safely to my door. All in all, it was a great shopping experience and I would definitely suggest checking out this website to others.
Funky vintage jacket
So hey, I got this super cool retro jacket from Catawiki and man, it was awesome! The seller took forever to ship it, but Catawiki had my back and sent them a couple reminders. They even waited to give them the money until I had my jacket, which was awesome. It took like two weeks, but when I finally got it, it was totally worth the wait. I'm loving it and Catawiki's policy is the bomb.
CD box with 114 CD’s
I recently bought a CD box from Catawiki and had a mix of good and bad experiences. The description claimed it was in excellent condition, but it arrived with one missing CD and no booklet, despite the description saying it would be included. On top of that, the box was all scratched up, which wasn't mentioned by the seller. It feels like they weren't totally honest in their description. When I contacted them about the issues, they weren't very helpful and even switched communication to French. Now I can return the item, but it'll cost me a pretty penny to ship it back to France.
Wooden frame purchase
My experience with Catawiki buying a wooden frame was pretty good. Everything went smoothly and I was happy with what I got. But, I do think they could do better with their shipping system, especially by lowering the shipping costs for buyers. It would make things even better for all of us.

parcel did not come because seller set incorrect phone number. Parcel go back to seller and no refund was provided. -395 euro. I opened claim with bank and open police claim for scamming... will for for them to punish

CATAWIKI IS A FRAUDULENT SITE. I was a customer of Catawiki, and have spent a considerable sum on this platform. Some items I purchased were ok, but several turned out to be either fake, or damaged…. When you contact the sellers, they are always in complete denial and refuse to accept any responsibility and refer you to Catawiki. Some are even rude and condescending: “designer clothes aren’t for everyone “, “prove that the item is not leather “, “you clearly misunderstood because you don’t understand the language “, and so on ….. When you contact Catawiki they then leads you into a labyrinthine kafkaesque complaint process that is a complete waste of time and leads to nothing. These are photos of 3 items from Catawiki, the 1st was shrunk, the second two were fakes. DON’T THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY, THIS IS A FRAUD OPERATION
