Terrible experience! Just basic dropshipping, so brace yourself for a 3-month wait for your order to even get shipped, if you're lucky. And when you dare to complain about the delay, they dangle a tiny discount in front of you that never materializes. Ended up canceling my order after waiting forever.
umbrella stand
I purchased a 60 pound backyard umbrella stand. It arrived as crumbled concrete. Homethreads will NOT pick it up, but instead suggests that I find a neighbor or family member to dispose of it. Where? oh, somewhere -in the agent's home town he can leave 60 lbs of broken concrete for an unsuspecting garbage truck worker to lift and dispose of. Homethreads used FedEx to deliver. They should use it to pick up. Or give me money to dispose of their garbage. Unconscionable.
Commix Down Filled Overstuffed 4 piece sectional sofa in beige
DO NOT ORDER. I placed an order for a sectional couch a month ago. When I purchased the couch the website clearly advertised that the couch was in stock and would ship in 1-2 days. A week went by and I hadn't received any shipping confirmation. After reaching out to customer service they said the couch would ship at the end of the week. Since then I have emailed them three times and they have continued to say the couch will ship "at the end of this week" and it HAS NOT. Once it does ship (if ever) they rep said it will take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
PLEASE save yourself the headache and order from elsewhere. If their site advertises that the item is in stock and will ship right away DO NOT believe it. I wish I would have read all of the reviews before I placed the order as others had this issue and some waited 6+ months or never received it. Oh - they will also charge your card right away :)
There are plenty of other places to order similar style couches that won't lie throughout the process.Modway Product
Less than one star! I wish I had read other's reviews after trying to order through Homethreads.com. I'm 3-4 weeks post expected delivery date. They keep telling me I'm still 1-2 weeks out from delivery, every time I ask, despite time progressing as it naturally does. Moreover, one agent is now saying it now won't be delivered until July whereas another said that "just can't be true". When i ask them which of their customer service people are lying based on the conflicting info, they won't answer that question. No one can tell me when my furniture will be delivered. ORDER FROM A REPUTABLE COMPANY - which does not include Homethreads. In other words, order from someone else! I will now conflate "Modway" products with this issue.
